I am the family patriarch, the assistant manager of Strickland Propane, and a salesman of "propane and propane accessories." I am obsessed with my lawn, propane (which I sometimes pronounces with the stress on the second syllable), the Texas Longhorns, and the Dallas Cowboys. Embarrassed and ashamed of my narrow urethra, I is uncomfortable with intimacy and sexuality; despite this, I have a healthy relationship with my wife and the rest of my family. My catchphrase is "I tell you what," typically tacked onto the end of a sentence; other common utterances include "bwah!" when startled, a sotto voce "ugh" when disgusted, and "I'm gonna kick your ***!" when angered, though I am rarely moved to the point of actual physical violence. In contrast to my emotional distance from members of my family, I dotes unashamedly on my aging bloodhound dog, Ladybird, as well as my pickup truck.
