A True Interview with SYN Cheapskate and KoG Percussive
Hello everyone. I'm SYN Romance and I'm here with SYN Cheapskate, general of SYN Pitbulls, and KoG Percussive, general of KoG Objective. I'll be asking them questions on how they feel toward SYN and KoG. This should give you guys a brighter view as to what KoG and SYN are like. So lets get started:
SYN Romance: How long have you been in XG?
KoG Percussive: I've been in XG since June 2007, so about eight months.
SYN Cheapskate: I've been in XG for about 7-8 months.
SYN Romance: Give me a quick rundown of your history in XG.
KoG Percussive: I started my clan hopping around the summer of 2007, having joined a clan called "EGS" (Elite Gaming Society). Seeing how there was no leadership or sense of direction in that clan, I decided to take up Ddoogy101's offer of bringing me into KoG Tactical. Once there, I finally got the chance to play with people just to have fun, which was all I had ever wanted since I joined XBL earlier that year. I advanced through the ranks pretty quickly and eventually earned my captain position after an opening appeared when we hit 90 or so members in the clan. Unfortunately, Tactical didn't last much longer, and a clan split with KoG Survival, an unexpected hit by another member, and three section leaders later, I received the general promotion and became the new general of KoG Objective. Today I'm just looking to improving our clan so we can be better than we've ever been before.
SYN Cheapskate: Well I started out in SYN Spec Ops (No longer up) and i was a captain there. The clan died and I transfered over to SYN Pitbulls as a Sergeant. Eventually Pitbulls started falling and Corleone asked me to be General and build it back up. I accepted and have been with Pitbulls ever since!
SYN Romance: Thats some history. Tell me what you both think “Underground” means.
KoG Percussive: I think "Underground" represents players that want to win in whatever game they play, but are still the same respectful players that you would expect to see under any other description.
SYN Cheapskate: I think Underground in this sense means badass, basically feeling like you are comfortable doing what needs to be done to defend yourself.
SYN Romance: Interesting. Whats a difference that KoG and SYN have?
KoG Percussive: Unlike in KoG, SYN enables gamers to modify their style of play to include trash-talking and teabagging.
SYN Cheapskate: I think SYN has much more of an aggressive attitude compared to KoG.
SYN Romance: Now whats a similarity?
KoG Percussive: In both, we have the same rank structure that we follow.
SYN Cheapskate: We both respect others and have a sense of honor for our clans.
SYN Romance: Out of your experiences in XG what do you feel makes KoG and SYN contribute to the community?
KoG Percussive: I think it's the devotion that I'm seeing out of all ranks to the clan. I have recruits that I feel have shown they are more than capable of a promotion, and I have captains I've been told weren't ready but have shown incredible improvement. Not only that, but we have members that are very fun and respectable people that are great to hang around but also take clan meetings and responsibilities seriously.
SYN Cheapskate: I feel it offers some variation to the community. With each community you generally know what kind of attitude you will encounter.
SYN Romance: Touching. Now Cheapskate, how do you feel toward KoG overall?
SYN Cheapskate: I respect KoG and feel that they have a pretty solid community that is a likable group of people.
SYN Romance: Percussive, how do you feel toward SYN overall?
KoG Percussive: I feel SYN is just another part of XG as a whole. Even though they have some minor honor code revisions, they are essentially the same as KoG, XGC, and XGG in that they are a part of the same community of gamers.
SYN Romance: What do you see in the future of the community?
KoG Percussive: I see that the community will continue to grow to great numbers. Every day, I'm seeing the community gain more quality people. These members continually devote themselves to the greater good of the clan. Even now, I'm still surprised at how well people in XG work together towards the common goal of expanding and improving our clans to make the community better for everyone.
SYN Cheapskate: I see SYN, KoG and XGC creating much more of a bond that we have now. I see many more people from different branches (SYN KoG XGC) playing more games with each other. Creating more of a friendship rather than a shared community.
SYN Romance: Percussive please explain what you think KoG is all about.
KoG Percussive: I think KoG is all about gamers that just want to have fun. It's not about skill or rank here, it's about playing together and hanging out with members that share similar interests.
SYN Romance: Cheapskate please explain what you think SYN is all about.
SYN Cheapskate: I think SYN is all about pride. If you have a good sense of pride and honor than SYN is the clan to be in. We are Underground gamers, basically we aren't afraid of a little trash talk or playing a little dirty to get the win. We always keep the honor code in mind though to show our honor.
SYN Romance: Percussive, how do you feel on how SYN run their clans?
KoG Percussive: From what I've heard, SYN has been doing very well. I feel that they run their clans very well to be able to expand like they have recently.
SYN Romance: Cheapskate, how do you feel on how KoG run their clans?
SYN Cheapskate: I feel that KoG generally has good experience running their clans. They know what they are doing and have a sense of discipline. I would like to see more KoG in the community though, I don't have as many KoG friends as I wish I did.
SYN Romance: How do you both feel toward XGC and XGG?
KoG Percussive: I feel that they are both great communities that allow for XG to cover a wide array of different interests. However, I would like to know more about them and how they are doing, because I do feel isolated having to focus on only on my clan's development. It would be nice to be able to meet with gamers from other communities, like SYN, XGC, and XGG.
SYN Cheapskate: I highly respect XGC. I feel they are doing a great job in running their clans and making a good name for themselves in the community. XGG I don't see as much of. If some more XGG were in the community then I feel they would make a great impact on the Xbox Live gaming community as much as other XG clans have.
SYN Romance: Thats nice. Now lets go off topic. How long have you both been generals?
KoG Percussive: I've been a general for about a month and a half.
SYN Cheapskate: I have been a General for about 5-6 months (Give or take)
SYN Romance: What have you both learned in your time as generals?
KoG Percussive: I've learned to never expect everything to fall right into place. Everybody needs to communicate with each other, lead their squads to improve themselves, and be a role model to ranks lower than them. Each rank has their own responsibility, and they need to be prepared for anything that can happen. Nothing will ever go perfectly right, so it's up to the combined force of the clan and the community to pick themselves up and continue progressing.
SYN Cheapskate: I have learned to give people chances. If someone feels they can do something, give them a chance and they will most likely accomplish it. Also to respect everyone, feel as if someone is always watching how you treat others.
SYN Romance: Very true words from both. What games do you feel KoG and SYN mainly focus on?
KoG Percussive: I feel KoG and SYN both focus on the same games, particularly Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4.
SYN Cheapskate: I feel we mainly focus on Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4. Those are the hot games right now.
Alright well thats it guys. Thanks for time. I hope the rest of you learned as much as I did.
Thanks 4 reading,
SYN Romance
