I recently posted in the Grass isn't Greener forum trying to clear up confusion. Since this is such a large community, and since I've never done one of these in the past, I feel like now is a good opportunity for me to get to tell y'all more about myself and get more involved with the community.
My login name, Kiin-Jo (but without the dash because that char is not in the allowed values), is a reflection of my Elder Scrolls character. He is a healer in the Ebonhart Pact, Argonian if you couldn't tell by the name. He was my first character in the game, I've made a couple others but haven't done anything with them yet. I originally purchased TES:O because a friend of mine had gotten the game and we were going to play together. I quickly outpaced him though and we haven't grouped yet. I joined a couple of guilds in TES:O already, one is called the Salami Slappers. I joined them after one of them helped me discover where I could get a restoration staff early on in the game. He took me through a few dungeons and we group occasionally, but it's not that often. I actually ended up taking his wife questing the other day. The other one I was recruited in the Outlaw's refuge by some Indian guy. I don't even remember what it was called, haven't talked to them since.
I've been playing The Elder Scrolls games for about a decade now. I started with Morrowind on Xbox, one of the best games ever created imo. I think I still have it... somewhere. Then I got Oblivion on a computer after that, didn't really care for that game tbh, I know a lot of people like it, and it's probably because I never got the expansions but it just... it didn't have much replayability. Skyrim on the other hand was amazing, god knows how many hours I've put into that. Don't have my 360 anymore though. I had to sell it... dark days. That was about the same time I lost my computer. By lost it I mean it died.
Oh, and I also enjoy RTSs. Sid Meier's Civilization V is simply fantastic. I have to turn the graphics down a bit and keep zoomed in at a fairly close distance for it to not set my computer on fire. I started on Command & Conquer. The first one. I've played all of them up to Tiberium Sun and Generals. Not sure if they've put another one out, it would be neat if they did.
I've played the Halo games, but I'm not a huge fan. Nor am I a fan of CoD.
Mortal Kombat has been one I've seen evolve as well. I've always been a fan of Ermac. Really gotten to like Kenshi, Aaron Black, and Takeda in MKX.
So yeah... MMOs, RPGs, any mixture of the two, RTSs, and Fighting games.
I'm a Senior at Auburn University, and I study Software Engineering. I'm a part of the Environmental Awareness Organization, I'm the guy who keeps everyone in the loop. We host EarthFest, which is like Alabama's big hippy festival. We get a lot of bands and food. Companies set up in stands and sell **** to people, it's pretty awesome. We also keep the area around the student center clean.
I'm going to be putting in an application for Bethesda to be one of their AI Programmers. I kinda want to work for Google, but I don't think they'd accept me without a decent amount of experience. I'm studying Software Construction, Computer Organization and Assembly Language Programming, as well as Algorithms this upcoming semester. AI programming is only offered every other year, and that's next year. So I'll be here a fifth year to take them.
So yeah, that's pretty much me. Hi.
