BENEFITS OF PRESTIGING

I have played the Black Ops game since it first came out. I have steadily prestiged every time I had the opportunity in fact I am halfway through my 5th Prestige. I know several people who are sitting on level 50 and still haven't taken the plunge and moved onto there first prestige.

I often ask them why not and I get that they don't want to give up there guns or perks, or that they have alot of money saved but ironically thing they have bought all the attachments, weapons, and perks available but they just wont prestige. So i am going to give my theory on prestiging.

I have noticed everytime I prestige I hate it as soon as I do it because I loose my Ghost Pro, but if you set up correctly you can have it in no time soon. In fact I can usually get to level 4 in 2-3 games and at level 4 you can set up your own classes.

I honestly think prestiging makes you a better player, because it forces you to learn to shoot different guns and it gives you something to strive for. Because lets face it sitting at level 50 would seem to me at least boring.

Also I have noticed each time I prestige it gets easier and faster to keep prestiging. In fact I can unlock ghost pro now by level 13. As long as you have ghost and hacker as your perks it is easy to find and destroy the sentry gun.

I am curious to know both other clan members opinion on this subject especially from those members who still haven't prestiged

I've prestiged once and i believe that's all i will do and i'll tell you why, i have earned everything i want so why would i start it yet again? Also i consistently use different weapons even though i will not prestige so i am very versed in many weapons. All it makes you do is start from 0. So why should i suffer and not have the perks when i am playing against 6-9 different people that have pro everything with all the attachments? 6 create-a-classes is plenty enough for me because there is plenty of time to change your class in-between rounds. Some say it makes you better but i know in the first couple games my k/d/r isn't as good as it is when i have the classes i want to set up. I don't want face paints, i don't need extra classes, i don't care about challenges, i don't consider it bragging rights, and i really don't give a damn about my player card. Good k/d/r's and win loss records are what are impressive to me. So all in all i am not prestige material.

i like prestiging i am currently on my 12th prestige just got their and goin all the way. i think to prestige it keeps the game interesting

I like to prestige. It keeps me interested in the game. Plus I like having 10 classes to play around with and I want to have the golden guns. I havent put camo on my guns in like 8 prestiges but i am looking forward to the golden guns.

My biggest issue is that for all the perks to go pro, I end up having to choose which perks I want to get to pro before I prestige. I end up ranking up faster than I accomplish some of the mundane or dumb tasks they make you do to get the pro version of things.

Getting better at other guns doesn't make up for the fact that a lot of the lower guns aren't very good and when there's lag (and we all know there is a lot of it at times) certain guns combat that better than others. When you prestige, you also lose some of the perks that you need to help your team do better in game modes such as CTF.

That, and I play HC game modes, so it makes it tougher in getting some of the pro versions at times (i.e. for Ghost Pro, there are usually less Sentry Guns)

by now, i know the programmers could come up with something like unlocking new guns as you prestige or something, its boring period to just get a new tag and "respect"

I don't play enough to make a prestige worthwhile. I'd rather have all the weapons and perks at my finger tips at all times instead of having to work my way back up when I should be having fun.

In COD black ops I stopped prestiging beacause its difficult for me to get the perks again. I completed barely any of them before I hit 50 but yeah I can tell the difference in prestiging and prestiging actually helps out alot because you get to learn different guns and work around situations where you got bad perks. and it doesnt make the game boring

I personally like prestiging because by the time in 44 I have all the pro perks I use and all the guns I like using so by the time I hit lvl 50 im ready to change things up again

i actually dont see a point in playing call of duty unless you do prestige, there isnt a point in staying at ONE rank for a long period of time

look you get more classes plus when you get to lvl 15 your done and you dont have to worry about losing anymore guns or perks. There is an advantage but getting there is hard. Always max the most out of your games!
