TIPS

Tips

1. When reloading, setting up equipment, or using scorestreaks always get behind something, never stay out in the open.

2. When going around a corner or going in somewhere there is a lot of activity, aim down the sights. It is faster and easier but don't stay aiming too long people could sneak up and you are slowed while aiming.

3. While moving (anywhere) have your gun centered in the screen so if you have to use hip fire it is way more likely to hit your target.

4. If someone sees and/or shoots you and you know their coming for you, turn around and go somewhere to crouch and wait for them. Not for too long after a while it starts to be camping and campers suck.

5. This should go without saying, but when your shooting someone who is shooting and your getting hurt more crouch or go prone to save what health you got.

I will post more.

I like those tips but to cover shooting I would say that depends on the gun. For fast fire rate I find that burst firing or trigger tapping is a must at mid to long range such as with the pdw sub machine gun. This will also reduce recoil by a great amount.

yea that's true

Here are some more:

6. Take a minute or two on your create a class. you will want to think about what you need, what you want, and what's useful or not.

7. While moving always look around you, in doors or just anywhere an enemy may be, but don't lose focus on what's ahead of you.

8. Don't use equipment unless you know it's gonna work or at least you have strong feeling it is. No need in waste equipment.

9. While looking to see if any enemies are around try to get behind something so there it will be harder for them to hit you.

10. Always know you're gonna die. It's gonna happen quite a few times. Just get better so it doesn't happen as much.

I have a few simpler tips to add on for you that are pretty important.
Use the tactical layout and learn to dropshot, if you have any sort of competitive experience you should know how much this can help you out.

Don't panic knife 24/7. It isn't very reliable, especially on black ops 2.

Black ops 2 has some great smgs like the Msmc and the P57. Use them.

If you really want to get good get a few friends and start playing some gamebattles. Playing against great players helps you improve a lot quicker than you would playing public matches.

Don't quickscope in matchmaking, its stupid and will get you killed more times than not. When I'm playing by myself I stick to the outsides of the map and always go the opposite way of my team. Glance at the radar, don't stare at it.

The reason I go the opposite way of my team is because people like to group together and its like moths to a flame, so If I stay out of the huge gun battles I can pick off stragglers and often times I catch the enemy with their pants down because they think the fighting is across the map.

For sniping, find a spot. After you kill a person...and this is important...MOVE! They WILL come back for you.
As far as quickscoping, practice makes perfect, go into bootcamp or custom games and practice...

I down especially sit in a spot when sniping. I tend to to lockdown an area with some claymores and shock charges and will get a couple of kills there and then move. Three most important perks on a sniping class are Blind Eye, Ghost and Cold Blood... for my third I pick up awareness.

You secondary weapon is important too alot of good decent snipers favour the B23R or the KAP-40 in case you get caught with your pants down. Never enage in open combat but never stray too far from your team, if the spawns flip your screwed.

Finally, like the previous posters have said don't be dependant on your mini map but use it as a guide to identify enemies in your immediate AO. And if you get a chance and you have a UAV up check the map on your start menu. As a side note if I know I am going to be sniping I like to help my team with a UAV, C-UAV and Orbital VSAT.

I have another tip I thought of. I always keep a situational class with a sniper rifle, launcher, and claymore. Almost every game there is a situation for each.

1. Sniper: for that annoying snipe camper and those christmas noobs :) (you could probably have a few more strategies depending on your play style)

2. Launcher: I only recently started using blackhat but I found out that the launchers definitely lock on to the targets a lot quicker than blackhat does. I also find it very handy for destroying sentry guns because there is always a camper nearby. The collateral damage will often lead to an extra 100 pts for the kill. I also use it when I'm playing against a group that likes to run together or when a couple guys are trying to riot shield their way through domination.

3. Claymore: I recently found a great use for this in games of domination. When orbital VSAT is on for the other team, sit in an upstairs room and set up your claymore strategically. Often, they will think you are downstairs first and then run upstairs with confidence. That's when you get the payoff. Sometimes you'll get a double kill with it. Totally worth having on my sniper/launcher class.

For quick scopng try standing still for a sec and slight scoping in then shoot the shot goes completely straight. For a good hit no matter what scope in and drag it always hits

Great Tips listed here.

I noticed when setting up classes you have to think of the kind of player you are. If you are more Rambo, run around the map continuously, type of player, your best bet is to set up a smg class. They are faster to use, high rate of fire for the most part, and great when coming off a sprint. if you are more strategic and stealthy, i go with Assault Riffles. they are powerful, easier to control, and more precise. Totally ninja like players (this super does not include campers, they don't count), snipers rule, especially paired with a silencer.

Id like to note that if you use bouncing bettys or claymores watch your killcams, the equipment will stay up and you will often get a kill or two
