All the Call of Duty 4 DLC has been previewed and from what I have read all four maps are going to be awesome. I will get to all of the information on the maps in a bit. First I will give you the low down on the pricing and release. The pricing for the maps is still undetermined, as is the specific release date. They will likely be available in early April, dependant on the certification by Microsoft and Sony. Though there is no known release date if any for the PC. Also, unlike the MASS EFFECT DLC there will be no added achievements.
The first map is called CREEK. It is one of the largest Call of Duty 4 maps to date. If you love to snipe this will be your map. It is an asymmetrical map with a multi-village building on one side and a small farmhouse on the other. The most striking feature is a two chambered cave that serves as a quick way to get from one end to the other. But be careful because there will most likely be someone down there waiting for an unwary victim.
The second map is CHINATOWN. If you love close-quarters combat this will be your map. Although it does not resemble any map from the single player campaign. If you played Call of Duty 2 you will notice that it is a remake of the Carentan Map. Even though it is a dark map you shouldn’t have any trouble seeing thanks to all the neon lights and paper lanterns that give it an unearthly glow.
The third map is BROADCAST. If you love objective based game types like Headquarters this will be your map. The map is based on the "Charlie Don’t Surf" level. It is placed in and around the TV station. Most of the firefights were inside the main room that is filled with TV's and monitors. One exciting feature is that you will be able to jump through a skylight on the roof of the building giving you a great advantage of height, and to also jump down behind enemies that have pressed forward.
Finally, KILLHOUSE. If you love to play Deathmatch this would be your best bet. It is very loosely based on the F.N.G. training level. It is a symmetrical map that takes place in a hangar with two cinder block bunkers on either end, and a tower in the middle; however, because it is a small map it would be tough to get to the top of the tower.
If you cannot wait for the maps to be released, head over to Gamespy.com and check them out for yourself. Please note that the videos for the maps are age restricted due to the rating of Call of Duty 4.
