ELECTRONIC MUSIC AND MUSIC MAKING SOFTWARE

So not sure if anyone here is into dubstep/house/techno/electronica and all the other genras of that kind if music but I am and I am looking for someone who knows stuff about any programs or equipment I should get in order to begin to practice making music like that. Any feedback would be sweet.

Fruity loops is popular but can be hard to work with. I prefer cubase. Numark Cue or virtual dj is good if you have some usb dex hardware. A good recording software as far as vocals go: Audicity.
