I originally tried posting this in the Game Board forums but nobody really replied to it, So needless to say I deleted it from there and will give it a shot in here now :p

I just recently started playing Fallout: New Vegas thanks to a good friend on mine here in the clan doing a license transfer with me. Anyways, I've been playing it a little bit and getting used to everything that is different from this game from Fallout 3. My question is, Are there any tips that people can give me on how to play this game to it's full potential? Any areas of interest that I should check out that could hold some useful items, etc? I already found the New Vegas Medical Clinic where you can buy the implants so I will be doing that for sure.

Any and all help would be appreciated, or just some form of general conversation about this game or Fallout 3.. It really doesn't matter to me.

Thank you in advance. :)

Save frequently. If you're an achievement Hunter and are getting the dlc do that first, at least as far as the gra stuff. Steal everything, sell everything you don't use. When you get to Fremont save your favor from the King, save up 2000 for the credit check to get into the strip. I prefer to side with the ncr and I preferred Veronica as my traveling mate as well as the dog... hit me up if you want more tips, I've got every achievement and have about 5 different play throughs

Sweet! Yeah I was running with Boone but I've heard a couple of people tell me that Veronica can get you in with the Brotherhood of Steel and I've been looking for some different ways to do things. I know eventually I will have to side with the legion as much as that sucks. :/

awesome game. i prefer boone from novac as a travel buddy because of his sniper skill but thats a matter of personal preference. i highly recommend getting some of the dlc packs they add extra levels and weaponry as well the ability to upgrade EDE to badass proportions. only downfall being that ur character can become almost too good since each dlc ups the xp limit which adds to the perk meters. im at 100% on pretty much every ability and with the extra weaponry can pretty much kil someone with a dirty look at this point which take ssome of the challenge out of it. excellent game tho spent over a year playing nothing but new vegas ultimate edition which comes with a lot of dlc packs included. hit me up for specifics. as for the goodies, i like the ones available in the big MT reaearch crater but thats a dlc area.

See I haven't used ED-E yet but I hear from everyone that it is amazing if upgraded correctly and I'm loving Boone so far.

Really? I never thought of that lol... kinda feel stupid a little bit seeing as that's what I did with Skyrim. I just picked up ED-E and it's already just pwning people. What I like is that the Brotherhood and Followers both interact with you if you have ED-E so that saves me from having to switch up followers too much but I still haven't really decided where I am going to take my character.

I mean in the end what is better, Energy Weapons or Conventional Weapons?

im more of a conventional weapon type of gal .... plus with certain perks enabled u get to mix n match ur ammo a little more. u really should check out the wiki its got everything u ever wanted to know and even more than u never thought of asking. fantastic game, only thing that could possibly have made it any better would be if your friends could join u in the desert ... now that would be awesome. i hear whispers of a sequel to be set in boston ... i eagerly await.

That would be amazing, I really am looking forward to a new storyline and I hope that they incorporate the best of both worlds into each game for sure. I'll check out the wiki but I will also hit you up on XBL too about it :)
