FASTER AIMING

What are some tips to be faster than the opponent?

I take corners wide, I watch my map if I am playing core. All in all, 9 times out of 10 I loose the gunfight. Which I don't really understand. I mean, Faster guns okay, But I can even loose to a pistol sometimes. It is a little nerve-racking to come out of a game and never make it over 12-15 kills.

Any tips?

change your sensitivity, dropshot more, halo jump, use equips to check rooms, know where to take cover, change gun according to map, i mean theres alot of things that can give you the upperhand in firefights. the question is really vague and you didnt specify mode/game/setup.

I agree with skullboy. what game mode you play would help give a better answer. your sensitivity is probably low. I play on 10 and that made a big difference for me. also sticking closer to the walls and making a decision and committing to it will also help

I play Team Deathmatch, Either Core, Hardcore. My sensitivity is set on 9 (Anything higher and I can't aim). I usually use The Scar-H -> Force Grip->Stock->And either Target Finder for Matches on Cove, Or Just plain old reflex sight.

My main perks I use is Hardline-> Cold Blooded -> And whatever other perk I feel is pristine for the match-up.

try running without stock and see if that helps you might be over aiming. cause I run 10 sensitivity w/o stock and I have no issues but when I throw on stock I cant hit a damn thing

I have heard both ways, With or without stock.
Honestly, I prefer stock simply because I can move left to right faster while aiming. But, On the other hand, I never use quick draw. So i might try that combo

Sensitivity is a big one, I run an Adjustable Stock on all of my guns just because it helps move target to target faster and can help you get the first shot. Dropshotting can help but in hardcore its hit and miss, same thing with "halo jumping"... Just learn the maps and their routes. Everyone does the same thing every map.. Just find your route that works best for you whether it be playing the outside, center or whatever and perfect it. :)

You could probably bring the match in your favor by equipping something like a MMS and watch your corners. Sensitivity, as it's already been said, plays a major part I would say in your aiming. Mine's on 14 and I do fine with it. I've never really used adjustable stock or anything like that unless it's Extreme Conditioning and Dexterity.

All in all, I prefer distance to an opponent rather than CQC. I use a LMG for most of my fights. If it comes down to someone running right there in front of your face and giving you no time to react, don't bother aiming down sights and just shoot. x]

if push come to shove use an smg with laser sight and never aim down site. you might start winning more gun fights. also you might consider slowing your game play down and pause and wait and see if you can hear footsteps

That is a good tip, slow down, and acquire your targets prior to them acquiring you. I try to shoot first before I aim, with a drop shoot works. It is just the remembering to do both at the same time. Just someone who wants to be better(ME)

Ok tips for faster aiming, number one is quickdraw. this perk helps you with faster aiming. the secound attachment you should use is fast mag. perks, fast hands and for secondary tac 45.

I for one can never hear foot steps. I tried to camp and see if i could but i dont. i slowed my gameplay down and it finally paid off. I ran a few different perk combinations and it helped also. some mentioned the MMS but really it screws me lol.

You have to have awareness on to really be able to hear foot steps

Not necesarily (spelling nazis gone have a field day). I habe turtle beaches and I can hear foot steps with out awareness.

But if you can afford those awareness is the way to go

And funk the MMS I hate that damn sight

Well, Through on the laser sight and turned my Sensitivity up to 14 and it made a heck of a difference. I still aimed down my sights, but popping a corner, I can usually take the guys off their feet. I have awareness on, Still didn't hear any footsteps. But, For now, My K/D Ratio is finally moving up some more. Now if only I can get away from spawn campers Ill be in good shape haha
