It is amazing to me to hear daily, how many people play Black Ops, begin to loose, and start saying their opponents are lag switching or weapon hacking or glitching or some other excuse to account for their loss. People for one it is a video game and you need to keep that in prospective which i think alot of people don't all the time.
Also no one wants to, or for that matter cares to hear you screaming obsenities or your irritated reasoning why you were beaten or keep dying. There is nothing more embarrasing for me to be playing with a non XGC member that I am trying to recruit to get them to join the XGC community and go through my spill how we hold ourselves to a higher standard of good sportsmanship, and how we don't trash talk and then the next second have a member of the community start a obscene rant on how the other team is somehow cheating and that is the reason why we are getting beat.
When in all reality the other team may be just better than we are. I personally have went 22 and 0 and I wasn't cheating I just had a really good game. There are other players who are just better than me, which aren't cheating. Because I play Black Ops alot of time in just regular non guild and community based matches I encounter alot of different players and occasionally I get the opportunity to play with a XGC member, and everything will be fine, we chat and enjoy the game. However, it only takes one or two bad instances to really turn you off in your effort to try to grow this community, and continue to be a part of it when It's rules and code of conduct aren't followed by its members.
If people can't control there tempers when playing this game and representing not only their clan but also the gaming community, then maybe they should play something less stressful. I am not saying I have never lost my temper playing this game but I never voiced a obscene laden tirade during or after the game. After all its just a game and in the real world no one cares about your kill to death ratio or how many prestiges you have done.
I charge everyone from Section leaders down to privates when you play the game show the good sportsmanship that attracted me to this community in the first place, because I know no one that wants to play with someone who acts like a spoiled two year old or someone who constantly whines about loosing. Keep in mind a way to prevent loosing 8 games in a row is simply to turn off your console and go do something else. :e
