HALO 2 LOCK = RED RING OF DEATH??

Okay, so, I've been having some issues regarding my halo 2 game and everytime i go to my friends list or anything like that, my game locks up with vertical blue bars or solid blue screens or things like that.

My question is, has anyone out there had experience with this and do you know what the actual culprit is, (ie overheating, bad disc....) or am I just biding time until the Red ring of death hits me and i gotta wait three months to play Halo 3 (that's right...... two days before it launches... what a kick to the pants.)

Please help guys. This CANNOT happen RIGHT before h3 comes out. Give me some good news!

You have red rings of death? Well I RRoD in Halo 2 I turned it off, the next time i turned it on RRofrigginD. Like a few weeks b4 h3

Yep. It RRoD'd me. I'm giving it a big break (i managed to get it started again so it can't be beyond repair I hope) and seeing if i can't nurse it back to health.

Yeah. I already have a box coming to ship it back in, just trying to milk the last days out of it until H3 comes. I just want to finish up the story without renting a console from Blockbuster or something.

Gonna be a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG month. :(
