Release Date:
Hitman was recently delayed from its initial December release date. Now, Square Enix and Io Interactive have outlined their release plan for the game, which will be a "live game experience that delivers content over time, supported by live events." The game will now be released on March 11th, 2016.

Content:
On March 11, the initial content will be launched. This will include six campaign missions across three locations: Paris, Sapienza, and Marrakesh. For Contracts mode, there will be around 800 targets for you to craft your Contract from.
Also in March, the live content will begin rolling out. This consists of time-limited targets, weekly Contracts, and promoted created content.

Locations:
Each location in the game is a living sandbox, a place where every NPC has a name and every room matters. Players have complete freedom of approach over how, where and when you decide to take out your target. Creativity from players is fully expected -- you have the power and intelligence of Agent 47 at your fingertips, and it is your choice whether to use brute force or orchestrate a genuine masterpiece of assassination. An episodic structure for Hitman means an ongoing and evolving game which plays out over the course of a year, with a finale that brings the story arc together. Broadcast contract events add unique and vital missions to the Hitman experience over that time -- iImagine a target appearing for every player in the world, for a limited time only. Where your one shot counts. And when that target is gone, it is gone forever.
After March, one new sandbox location will be added per month in April (Thailand), May (United States of America), and June (Japan). Along with the new maps, there will be new missions, signature kills, and Contracts targets.

Cost:
Full access to Hitman will cost $60. But today a Hitman Intro Pack has been announced, which allows you to just purchase the March content, for $35. If you want access to the subsequent updates after that, you can buy an extra pack for $30. Pre-ordering the game grants you access to the beta, but this is only available for PC and PS4.
