I dont usually have my mic plugged in... Thats one way for me not to talk trash. I just simply ignore them and sometimes laugh at it. Its funny coz they always gets owned! LOL

Escalation. Let the punishment fit the crime and let forgiveness be divine.

There are many tools and tactics, like mute, boot, or scoot. You can dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with BS, or kill them with kindness.

If you deal with them, you should be patient and make plans. If not, mute, boot, or scoot.

ive been in the situation of being followed game to game by someone with nothing better to do with their time and had my fair share of a holes to deal with. to be honest when i game online i usually have at least one person on my friends list with me and if someone else wants to get annoying or haras the mute option works well. multiplayer can get peoples blood up sometimes ... i think what annoys me mpre is when supposedly co op modes get ruined by a holes and u dont want to leave because some games record u as a bailer when you do that. sometimes u have to just struggle through on mute and hit the «avoid this player» option when ur done. that way there`s less chance of u getting paired up with them again. escalation isnt always a good thing. i`ve had a negative review from someone because they got muted for being downright creepy with me and that still bugs me cos at the end of the day ... its a slight on my gamer rep that exists and is attached to my gamertag to this very day. now that is an a hole move right there.

In my case, escalation for me means from the least controlling (talking through the problem so it disappears) to the middle (temporarily muting until end of game, booting and re-inviting, getting offline or playing a different game, making a remark or ultimatum about the problem.), to the top of the heap!( Mute, boot, scoot, ban, avoid, etc.

I wouldn't worry about being reviewed bad, because it happens to everyone. If it helps, asking friends and nice randoms for good feedback isn't a bad idea, unless they aren't nice. So be careful how and when you bring it up.

As r4b1d s0ul and you stickchick have found, the nuclear option quickly gets rid of the problem. Any choice gone sour can give reason for retaliation and new problems or mere pinpricks as stick has found as well.

I just enjoy turning enemies into friends when conditions entice me to try. Or just fix stupid when it gets in the way.

Should I elaborate more. It's fun.

Just mute them. Theres always gunna be some type of sh** talker on the box. Mute and if the follow you around avoid and block the player and be done. Simple as that

Usually, I try to mediate if I say anything at all. Sometimes I defend myself, but if possible, just being nice leaves you with a clear head. Mute is an option, and so is silence.....

Ive gotten mad an yelled at em, but hey, we all know you cant fix stupid, so I ended up feeling stupid for even trying...LOL....back out...and move on...

I just stomp on them in matches until they leave, Plain and simple. In the end nobody likes losing, They lose enough games they will leave. Give it back to them a little bit but just crush them. They will back out, No sense in you doing it.

personally what helps me in this situations is either laugh about with one of my friends/husband or just simply remind myself obviously im the better person not responding. just think about it this way: you'll be just like them if you respond back. music definitely helps though i'll also agree with that. hopefully this is allowed to say but also when you are in the lobby with them just imagine the look they'd give if you sought them out first/killed them. imagine the faces and crap there then saying and let it put a big smile on your face! :)

I usually put myself into party chat if a lobby is really loud and annoying. It isn't the best way since you don't get to make a lot of new/random friends but sometimes I would rather silence then someone on my team screaming yelling etc.

I love lobbies where there are jerks in them. I listen to what they say. If I get too annoyed I will mute them but once the game starts. Its on. I purposely pick that person(s) to hunt down and destroy them. I make sure they go negative. Not just by a couple. I will make it major. I set a goal to make sure they dont get more then 5 kills and no less then 15 deaths. If a person chooses to talk smack about a female im playing with I will make sure she does the work on that person. Its fun to be organized like that. I wont leave until I make them rage quit. I do not like internet bullies.
