The fight is actually pretty straightfoward as long as you are doing it CO-OP.
Both loadup on the sniper rifle (pre-req that someone should get to this stage of the game with one in inventory since there is only 1 provided in the train car prep room.
Have one person grab the torque bow - doesn't matter who. Grenades are optional but help if your a little slow with the sniper rifle, they too can remove the bird shield.
Start fight -
Person with bow launches the first assault to get the "birds" away. As soon as the birds are gone, your partner should immediately start taking direct headshots with the sniper rifle.
The Krill "Birds" form a shield which obviously blocks your shots sniper shots, so don't waste ammo if it's up. You can opt to not use the bow and just have someone stand up to get him to direct his bird attack (which also lowers his shield since they are busy coming for you instead of protecting him)
(Don't bother with other weapons, 16 direct headshots is what it takes on insane) - If you hit anything but the head, it obviously will take a few more shots.
If timed right, it is possible to kill RAAM before he even gets to the wall where you will originally hunker down. If he actually gets into range, both lob granades.
If he makes it past your granades, wait until he is about to round the corner and both jump over the wall and stay there - point blank hit him with any weapon you have - rinse and repeat - don't bother with running to the other side of the train - the reavers always seem to over near the back and do considerably more dmg back there than up at front (since they typically just pass by you)
It might take you a couple rounds to get your timing down with your partner, but it is possible to rip off 8 rounds each to his head before the wall, so try again. If you don't get at least 10 headshots off by the time you start lobbing granades, I'd suggest to just start over since you'll probably end up playing tag a lot longer than you want to.
