KoG LOOKOUT NOW
So you have just started a squad which means you are a general and have permission from a Council Member/Division Leader. Or you have already been running a squad. If you aren't running you squad like this CHANGE IT NOW! First you will need to appoint a General and a Captain to assist you in running the squad. The General and Captain must be trustworthy and good recruiters. There is absolutely no poaching; this means no recruiting from other XGC/KoG squads. To recruit, hit up any kind of matchmaking and look for quality players that represent what XGC is looking for. A quality player is someone who plays profession ally and will uphold the XGC/KoG code. If a player is interested, you should direct them to one of our websites so they may familiarize themselves with the XGC/KoG Honor Code and our ranking structure. If they do not have a computer YOU MUST read them the XGC/KoG HONOR CODE. If they agree with the Honor Code and wish to join, send them an invite. Halo’s ranking structure does not dictate your rank in KoG. They are merely tools for squad list maintenance, which is handled by captains and generals. Such as sending invites and messaging the clan. We recommend having two overlord positions held by whoever is running the squad. The staff position should be held by captain or higher. These are people that are responsible for recruiting and messaging the clan. For squad integrity reasons there is no use for the member position, because members cannot change the clan role of new recruits. Also it is not recommended to leave clan invites outstanding, make sure the player is on to accept the invite. The peon position is held by lieutenants, sergeants and privates, who are not authorized to send clan invites. They are however still encouraged to find new recruits and bring them to their captain or general. Once your squad reaches 15 members get with your Section Leader to set up your forum. You are also responsible for e mailing your squad lists in on a regular basis. When problems arise please follow the XGC/KoG chain of command. This ranking structure has been around since the beginning and works very well. Division Leaders and Section Leaders are very busy and should not be bothered with minor problems, only serious issues. They are always there if you need them but do not abuse this privilege. Recruits, privates, sergeants and lieutenants will report to their captains. Captains will report to their Generals. Generals will report to Section Leaders. Section Leaders will report to Division Leaders. Division Leaders will report to the Council. All KoG officers are here to help make XGC/KoG the best gaming network, and offer any assistance to our members that we can. So please help us focus our efforts by following the chain of command.

Well guys and gals its me again letting you know about the meeting and new updates for KoG.

First, I want to attempt to clear up any confusion we may have had with the merging of our clans. If there is a clan we have that has 40 active members, there is no reason to merge this clan. If there is a clan out there with 15 active members, and another clan out there with 8 active members, wouldn't it be more prudent to merge these two clans and introduce more interaction with two smaller clans? Yes! An active clan with plenty of members doesn't need to be merged. Now, with that being said, you probably think that your clan is working perfectly fine without merging. If this is the case then you have a twisted view of what we are about. We want gamers playing together and having a great time by playing TOGETHER not apart. Two or even three small clans should merge not to create havoc, but bring together cohesion and a togetherness that XGC strives for.

Secondly, no one is going to get slandered for leaving XGC. By all means if after a month or weeks go by and you feel that this isn't for you and you want so be apart of something else DO IT! I applaud you for finding happiness on Xbox Live! We only frown upon those that leave without mentioning it or leaving meaning to do us harm. When all in all, no one can hurt us. Hit a clan! HA. Delevel a clan! Get a life! We don't care! We have always been able to bounce back and we have more members than you would ever touch with dismay and turmoil. We have faith in our leaders and we know what kind of job they can do. With that said brings me to my next point....

Thirdly, Section Leaders. We are going to broaden your leadership skill by challenging you to submit a section list. You get the lists from your Generals for their squads, but when it comes to submittal periods, you are responsible. It is no longer ultimately up to the Generals to submit these lists. You are encouraged to have your Generals use the forums and send squad lists their for you to accumulate them and submit them to the website for posting. This much of a leap from where we were, but it will only benefit in your overall evaluation and leadership skill. You can only gain from this and you should look forward to it.

Lastly, you all have to remember that its only a game! Have fun! We as upper leaders play games and have fun all the time. Thats because we don't lose sight of what the big picture is. The big picture is to have fun and play with a wide variety of people on a foundation of gaming values. Play a game, this isn't work for Pete's sake! Have fun with managings clans of people, have fun with making decisions for cheaters! Have fun, thats all its about!
