IMPROVING YOUR GAME ON MW3

There have been have been many things mentioned about improving your game on MW3, most of it depends on what types of games you play, how you have your custom classes set up and who you play with. Those things are all variable and can even change depending on the mood you are in that day, but there are a few things that can change your game play on all levels, regardless of game types you play. That is what I would like to discuss and would like some input and opinions on how to improve on things that I haven't even thought of.

Materials other than the Xbox 360

Headsets

I play with a X31 Turtle Beach headset (not the best, but not the worst) and I don't think that anyone trying to take the game seriously can play without a good headset. Some people play with the speakers from their stereo and wear the generic Microsoft headset (to the annoyance of everyone in the lobby with them). With a good headset you can hear people walking up behind you and with the more expensive headset hear from specific directions where shots are being fired from. These all help you get the feel of the game and have a little sense of control (in my opinion of course). This is one thing that can improve a persons game play.

Controllers

I also have what you call thumb stick extenders. Not a deal breaker, but I do feel that they help make slight movements when sniping. Not a real big deal, but they're cheap.

Game Settings

This has some variability, but only for a persons preferences. I have my controller sensitivity set to the max. It takes a few games getting used to it, but you can turn around insanely fast when you need to if someone is coming up behind you. Some people don't like it, but I find it helpful.

I have also adjusted the lighting on MW3 so that the dark spots are not so dark. I like to be able to see into the dark spots on a map and be able to see people easier.

Are there any other things that any of you know of that you find helpful?

I have trouble working with a high sensetivity, although I am a run and gun type of player but somtimes like to sit back also. I might take this advise to turning it up a bit! Thanks

The sensitivity is really one of those personal preferences that depends on the player. I know a few people who do really well and have their sensitivity on the average setting. Changing the sensitivity settings does take getting used to, but you might find that you work better with faster or slower sensitivity.

if i could suggest, just go to ten and play for an hour or two regardless of your score or how frustrated you get. after you start improving or just cant handle it anymore, go down to a level 8 sensitivity. you will see how much easier level 8 is and hopefully will do better

CORNER CAMPERS, UGH!!!

Corner Campers, UGH!!!

I know we all hate corner campers, but please be respectful to those who are snipers. We are key in the recon area of game play. Also, we are not "corner camping," we are strategically holding down a position in order to better assist our team. Just sayin'.... Thank you.

Sincerely,

All Snipers

lol, there is nothing wrong with snipers and corner campers, it's all part of the game. The good thing to know about campers and snipers is that they are probably going to be is the same spot when they last killed you. Finding them and killing only becomes that much easier. Switch your class really quickly and flush them out with gernades, RPGs, and/or XM-25 rounds. If that fails, leave them alone. Put up your "No Tresspassing" warning, leave a trap, and go about your business. Eventually the rabbit will come out of the hole, and when he does we will fire up the grill.

One suggestion from one sniper one to all others would be overkill. If you can become effective with sniping and runnin n gunnin, snipe and change positions. I have been doing this since my first few weeks after unlocking overkill and after you can get the hang of it its very effective and VERY deadly for the opposing team.

Snipers, taking advantage of spawn locations or exits from those locations are really just strategically taking an unfair advantage to better position themselves or their team in the game. IE... Cheating the game, themselves, and the team. I say run around with a knife in one hand Symtex grenade in the other....

Nothing amazes me more when people spawn in S&D and run backwards, thinking they are going to win. And then when they only have 45 seconds to plant they accuse me of camping. SMH
