There have been have been many things mentioned about improving your game on MW3, most of it depends on what types of games you play, how you have your custom classes set up and who you play with. Those things are all variable and can even change depending on the mood you are in that day, but there are a few things that can change your game play on all levels, regardless of game types you play. That is what I would like to discuss and would like some input and opinions on how to improve on things that I haven't even thought of.
Materials other than the Xbox 360
Headsets
I play with a X31 Turtle Beach headset (not the best, but not the worst) and I don't think that anyone trying to take the game seriously can play without a good headset. Some people play with the speakers from their stereo and wear the generic Microsoft headset (to the annoyance of everyone in the lobby with them). With a good headset you can hear people walking up behind you and with the more expensive headset hear from specific directions where shots are being fired from. These all help you get the feel of the game and have a little sense of control (in my opinion of course). This is one thing that can improve a persons game play.
Controllers
I also have what you call thumb stick extenders. Not a deal breaker, but I do feel that they help make slight movements when sniping. Not a real big deal, but they're cheap.
Game Settings
This has some variability, but only for a persons preferences. I have my controller sensitivity set to the max. It takes a few games getting used to it, but you can turn around insanely fast when you need to if someone is coming up behind you. Some people don't like it, but I find it helpful.
I have also adjusted the lighting on MW3 so that the dark spots are not so dark. I like to be able to see into the dark spots on a map and be able to see people easier.
Are there any other things that any of you know of that you find helpful?
