Nicely done I like both of them! The bottom one the text is a little big amd takimg away from the focal of the render....other than that, looks good!

Not yet. I think most of us are just waiting to see more of your work. I just added 2 more applicant test images so why don't you try to make some sigs with those. The sigs we. Commonly make are 500x200

Well I think they are all really well made. The one thing I would try would be to make your work have a signal focus. On banners you want a focus on text and image, but on sigs it is more common to have your focus be on the image rather than the text. Try to find a common ground where your text is visible, but your eyes will stay drawn to the main image of the sig.

Also one thing I did when I was applying was to look at other peoples apps. Try to use the advice that the designers have given to other people and see if you can apply those ideas to your work.

I like your designs but the canvas area you use is larger than what we work with. I'd like to see you apply your designs to smaller work areas. The banners we create for clan forums are 400x75px, the avatars are 150x150px, and the sigs are 500x200px or smaller.. I personally use 400x200px or 440x140px. Try out some of those sizes with the test images and post them here :) I look forward to seeing them.

^^^Not a bad one.
-the words are very big, I would say use a size 18-22 for your fonts. I very rarely go over 24. t
-the blur is way overdone around the sword and the shield. you may have actually been ok without it.
-where is the left side of the render on this one and the ghost sig? a good signature size is around 430x160, then apply the rule of thirds with your render. this way you have a nice amount of 'environment' around your focal. see my signatures as a reference.

-this looks very cut and paste. try adding some light smoke effects, C4Ds or fractals to give your sig some pizzaz.
-It also looks like your background has rain in it, but there is no rain effect over the render.
-where is your light source? use a 200-300 px soft round brush and pull the light color from the render itself. in this case, right around the top of the glove. then hover your brush outside of the canvas area where the light should be coming from and apply. you may have to make a few attempts to get this right. and don't be afraid to adjust opacity down a little bit if you need to.
-the render; all around the border of it is a solid break between background and the render. take your blur tool, strength 5-15% and very lightly blur around the entire render

-move the focal down a bunch and give this thing some background
