LOOKING FOR HELP LEARNING GIMP

i just downloaded GIMP2 and am looking to learn the ropes on it so i can start using my artistic talents and try making sigs. I have been a tattoo artist for over 14 years and am looking for a new medium so any help will be appreciated.

I use gimp. It's very confusing at first, but I'd say start with beginner tutorials (Which you can locate at www.deviantart.com, just search beginner gimp tutorials or something along those lines). And then this: http://www.noupe.com/how-tos/30-exceptional-gimp-tutorials-and-resources.html

That's what helped me get better. Other than that experiment with the different features and get a feel for each one.

yeah I just checked it out and ive seen stuff that ill take another look at in that site.

I would like to say that if you wana get familiar with the tools in gimp. i started doing tutorials off youtube first. get that visual feel yeh?

i say find a way to get photoshop its creme de le creme
(Yes cream of the creme) lol

lol I use photoshop tutorials sometimes. =3 Although for me I can get the same effects in gimp as you can photoshop, there's just a lot more work to it.
