MAKING THR JUMP FROM SINGLE TO MULTI PLAYER

i have played a lot of games over the years. probably thousands. from the days of double dragon, streets of rage, sonic, mario. i could go further back to pong even but we wont even go there. i remember looking at streets of rage and being blown away by the graphics. i remember teeing off in virtua golf with my jaw dropping at the detail of the course. remember my heart pounding and the sheer fear of the jump scares in resident evil on the first playstation. that game was scary as hell... who doesnt recall the ifrst time the licker drops from the ceiling ang lashes its tongue out at you. dragging lara croft around for weeks in tomb raider trying to figure out what in the hell switch i should be throwing. the huge dinosaur cornering u in that little alcove. awesome. and awe some.

games have come a long way since even then and i have played every genre there is but less than a year ago i got my gold account and ventured into the world of multi player ... and all the rules changed! i was die hard single player campaign mode gamer this whole time and now i find myself a little overwhelmed, like there was a homework assignment i missed and everyone in class seems to have read up on something i wasnt told about. there are maps to memorize and tactics to follow and strategies were laid out and discussed and there i stand with a pea shooter on a battlefield full of bazookas.
my question is ... what is a grizzled vet newbie to do in this new arena?

Just play and have fun i remember when i first hit the multiplayer scene in mw2 and got obliterated every single time. But as time went on and time being avid gamer like me from the old days of the Atari and Nintendo (original) you'll adapt and start to get better just listen and pay attention to the calls make sure you party up with people who are willing to help you and not just leave you to fend for yourself. If you want add me and I'll play with you, believe it or not I've helped one of my best friends whose never played an Xbox get moderately decent at multiplayer. But as foreign as multiplayer may seem it's almost just as easy to learn as learning a single player campaign. But like I said add me and we can play.

The biggest thing for me was the change in pace when I switched back in the original modern warfare. You will get hit from a million different ways and I wasn't used to that being the hardcore campaign player I was. Starting out I got my kills here and there but I also felt very overwhelmed. End the end it's simply a game, you have to adapt and the only way to do that is to have fun play and get better. Enjoy the game and learn as you go.

I remember the first time I played Blops2 from switching over from MW3...I've never sweared like such a sailor. I actually think I promised myself that I'd snap the disk in half if I didn't go positive...that was awhile ago...Its taken THAT long for me to figure out the ropes...Heck, I started gaming on a PC...Baldur's Gate :) Anyways. What I've found is that when you have a team of people that communicate, it's easier to excel in anything.

communicate! and dont give up! always be positive even if your kill/death ratio is negitive, and always check for campers in dark corners
