If anyone didn't know yet, the MLG pro team Str8 Rippin dropped Defy and know accquired Cpt Anarchy. Also, the team Final Boss dropped Saiyan and picked up StrongSide. I don't think Carbon is going to have a chance without StrongSide.

yah i know dude, FB is gonna pwn everyone even worse now with StrongSide, Saiyan was definetly the weakest link. I'm anctious to see how Str8 does with this new cat Cpt Anarchy.

Carbon actually dropped StrongSide halfway through the season last year and picked up a player from a much lower ranked team. Then they beat FB consistantly, for the rest of the season. I'm not sure if you know this, but top-16 players are all really, really close in terms of individual skill. At that level it's much more about chemistry and teamwork than pure ability.

By the way:

Str8 is now
Tsquared
Foulacy
Legit
Naded

and SV changed their name to...

Redemption
Fonzi
Anarchy
Killer N
Ramby

So Str8 and SV pretty much split into each other. Should be a pretty even matchup, too.

And Saiyan started his own team.

Make it Rain
Saiyan
Toxinsneighbor
Detach
Boo

Should be pretty sick.

yeah, most of the top 16 players are really close in skill...except for karma in FFA's and 1v1's lol

but teamwise, yeah, its all about the teamwork and communication

hence, my "woot for mlg VoD being free"...

I think carbon will hang onto first over FB; i think saiyan played a big role on FB that we're going to witness the effects of when the new season kicks off.

Anarchy is a beast; I'd like to see this team though:
Anarchy
Foulacy
Tsquared
Saiyan

Not that it'll likely happen.

I'm not so sure about CbN beating out FB this year, honestly. StrongSide's playstyle goes much better with the rest of FB than Saiyan's ever did, even if he isn't the god of support players like Saiyan.

Which of the new teams do you think will make it big this year, out of top 2? Personally, I'm rooting for FBI The Agency - I think that alot of the people on that team are way underrated, just because they haven't ever really gotten a chance to play with good teammates. And besides, they beat the hell out of CbN in their first ever online tourney. I think Victory went something like 71 and 15 in one game, and Karma went 2 and 18.

I think the new XiT will do better than alot of people think. Omega and Lightking might not be as good as Killer N or even Samurai were, but they fit much, much better on XiT than Killer N. They've always complained that they had bad chemistry, and I think that this will help them alot. Mind you, I'm not saying they'll be top 4 consistantly, just top 8.

My top 12 for Charlotte:
1. FB
2. CbN
3. Redemption
4. Str8 Rippin
5. LegendZ
6. FBI Agency
7. Make it Rain
8. XiT WouNdZ
9. FBI Icon
10. Nice Like Rice
11. The Business
12. Van1tY

Yeah, Victory is crazy...i haven't seen his recent games, but i LAN'd with him in michigan a few games before we drove down to chicago while the team was still OLR Michigan~ he's got a lot of confidence and seems to have a great sense of "What to do". They're definately acknowledged though, even back then FB was calling out Victory and Moo by name~ i dunno if that's normal, but i thought it was wild.

Of course the team's changed a lot...they're still changing their style and players i think, but i have no doubt they'll continue to rise.

XiT i don't believe will be well off. I think you're overestimating the player changing they had done.

I'm interested in how Saiyan's team'll pull off~ i dunno how well they'll do, but i wanna see em perform well.

str8 looks like a slayer team now to me...we'll see what happens. Redemption appears as a specialist team however; Anarchy being a power weapon player similar to Tsquared; Fonzi the objective boy; Ramby i haven't a clue; Killer N for standard killing.

Where did you find the players on the teams however?

Those are the teams for Charlotte

My "prediction":
1. FB
2. CbN
3. str8
4. Legendz
5. FBI Agency
6. Redemption
7. Make it Rain
8. XiT WouNdZ
9. FBI Icon
10. Nice Like Rice

I don't think redemption will make much of a show; but we'll see. I think this season agency is gonna stand out a lot, they've made some strong player changes IMO, now they just gotta find the teamwork some of the other teams gained last season. Dunno what to say of "Make it rain"...we'll see

You honestly think that Legendz will place better than Redemption? Legendz is good, don't get me wrong, but so are the rest of the teams in the top 8 - as well as a few outside of it. This year's Legendz would've made top 4 easily last year, but with the number of really great teams showing their faces this year it'll be a very, very close thing for Legendz to make top 4.

I agree with your pick for FBI Agency, though. Alot of people think that they'l be a weak team again this year because of their past performances, but with the lineup they have this year I think that they really do have a better-than-mediocre shot at 5/6, though they'd have to get pretty lucky to get a top 4 finish. As for MiR, I think they'll do fairly well. I might be a little biased, because some of my favorite players are on that team (just like Agency.) They're still a pretty big unknown quantity, though. They've had considerably less time to practice than the other teams, but they do have Saiyan and TN on the team, as well as Detach, who's not too shabby either. It'll probably all come down to who they get matched up with to play for the spot.

I don't have a lot of faith in redemption at all..
I think KillerN and Ramby for Tsquared and Foulacy will be a weaker combo. Foulacy and Fonzi have been on the same team since forever; i think fonzi'll have a tougher time now in the 4v4z because of that.

For Agency, i LAN'd with Victory back when he was OLR still, and he's a beast. I got to watch their first show against FB in Chicago '05. Mackeo wasn't on the team back then, and Vic had nothing but praise to say about the guy; ranked mackeo as better than himself. Adding to that roster Elamite Warrior who has proved himself in FFA, and HaloGod...i think they can be ironed out into a solid team given time.

I think that Str8/Redemption will probably be as close as CbN/FB, and Killer N might just give them the edge that they need to win. He's always been amazing, he's just never had a team that really let him shine.

FBI Agency already IS a pretty solid team. They've shown that with their win over FB AND CbN in the online tournament. Not to say that they'll beat them on LAN, just that they won't choke when the pressure's on. And I've actually played with HaloGod myself, way back when. Only a few FFAs, and only over XBL, but from what I saw he was certainly good enough to keep up with the rest of Agency. Maybe even do better than them.
