MONEY SAVING WAYS TO SUPPORT YOUR GAMING ADDICTION

I have always been trying to save money for video games and if you like to game you know it can cost a lot of money. Well, I have found a few things that people might appreciate to better fuel their game addiction and also be able to keep some cash in their pocket.

XboxLive Rewards <link>

This one has been mentioned before in a prior post, but it is a easy way to get some extra xbox live account. When you sign up you get extra stuff for doing stuff on xbox live and when you make purchases you get bonuses points. If you are a kind of person that spends a lot of money in the Market place buying add ons or Arcade games, this is a must have. Getting a little something back for purchases is a win win. You can also do their quick surveys once a month and get some free extra points.

When you reach 100 Xbox Reward points you should get 100 Microsoft points by the end of the month. This one takes some time to see results, but it's free points.

Bing Rewards <link>

This is one of the easiest and probably where you will get the most benefit. Sign up, make yourself an account and you basically search using their search engine. You can get about 13 points a day and in about 40 days you should have 525 points and you can redeem those points to get 400 Xbox Live points. You can also get other things like Amazon gift cards, but I mainly use it for Xbox live points.

e-rewards (Game-stop gift cards) <link>

Now this one probably takes the most work, but when you get up to $50 (points) from doing their surveys you can get a $25 gift card to Game-stop. You can redeem up to 4 $25 dollar gift cards a year (one each quarter) for a max of $100 a year (for those of you that have trouble with math). I did this last year and didn't pay a dime for MW3 and have gift card cash left over from last year and these cards never expire. You can also use them on-line and have games delivered to your home.

Closing

With all of these put together I haven't paid cash for a game since I think early 2011. I don't buy many games when they first come out, but for those of you who have to buy everything, who wouldn't like to have an extra $100 in their pocket.

Now, there are other things out there, Swag-bucks, Best-buy rewards, etc.., but I don't know of any other that get you point for Xbox Live. If you guys/gals know of other things to do (legal things please) to get free stuff for gaming I would like to know.

Yeah, we only use swag bucks to get $5 gift cards to Amazon, can take up too two months sometimes, but everything helps. Could use that for purchasing games on Amazon, but we use it for buying things for our kids.

There really is no affordable solution to saving on games because you end up spending more money each time. Apart from the illegal ones, there is no real solution, but who are the people that call our affordable methods illegal? = The producer consumed by greed. I don't condone any illegal activities but there really are no other affordable options that they make legal.

For those people that want/have to have every big game the moment they comes out, there really is no money solution for their spending costs (that is called a gaming addiction and they have classes to help fix that problem), but for those people that are gaming on a limited budget and want to take part of the new games, this is a helpful solution. It only takes time and effort, which if you have time for gaming, you can do the 5 to 10 minutes it takes.

As for the price of the games, most games that come to the Xbox 360 will cost $60, unless you get some sort of limited edition. The game developers can charge the kind of money they do for the games, because of the demand in the market, there are people out there that are willing to pay the price the games cost as soon as it hits the shelves. I don't think greed has anything to do with it, it is just that the standard has been set for what games will generally cost. I am sure the next gaming console for Xbox comes out it will set another standard of cost for games. If the developers cannot turn a profit on a game they will discontinue it.

Also, the GameStop gift cards are for anything in their stores, not just games. You could put that money towards your Xbox live renewal or a new gaming headset.

When you sign up for e-rewards you put in a email for them to send you survey notifications. When we first started up with e-rewards we only got a few surveys, but you will get more and more after a little time. When you log into e-rewards you will see a, "My recent Opportunities" section. There should be some surveys sitting there for you to do for now.

Make sure your preference settings on how many surveys you want a week are set to your liking, I have mine maxed on the number of surveys for them to send me. If you don't want to do a particular survey, just delete it, they expire after a period of time anyway. The other part of the setup that they tell you is important is to make sure your email is set not to block emails from e-rewards.

Once you reach an account balance of 50 e-reward credits, you will be able to redeem that for a $25 gift card to GameStop. There are other options to redeem your credits, but I personally only see value with the GameStop gift card.

Another survey site that takes a while but works is this
http://opinionoutpost.com/

you get 10 points on most surveys and every point is 10 cents you can only redeem when you get to 100 points, which is 10 bucks. when you redeem its money straight into your paypal account. some surveys i dont qualify for because im young and havent done much lol but its nice if you have time and need a few extra bucks.

Here is something else I just found out for Bing Rewards, because my wife was wondering if she could do it as well for the Amazon gift cards. You can have up to 5 accounts in one household. Now, this doesn't mean you should go and activate 5 accounts for the sole means of getting points. If you are one of the people that make this go away because people totally abuse it, I will hate you. Don't think I will ever be able to get even, but I will be distraught. If you do however have other people in your household, then by all means use it.
