New Evidence that Lego Harry Potter, Indiana Jones 2 in the Works
Written By: Kris Pigna
Rumors have swirled about it for a while now, but according to reports from both GamesIndustry.biz and VG247, it seems Traveller's Tales is indeed currently working on Lego Harry Potter and Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
The story first floated up when GI.biz picked up on an online CV from an animator working at Traveller's Tales, which showed both unannounced games, explaining that "both [are] in the early stages of production." VG247 then reported that the same animator confirmed work was progressing on both games, although they've yet to be confirmed.
Interestingly, back in January, a source inside Traveller's Tales assured that there would be no Lego Harry Potter in 2009. That's not quite a denial of any Lego Harry Potter game in existence, though, and it could be that Traveller's Tales is being prohibited from releasing a Harry Potter game by Electronic Arts' Harry Potter license (EA's Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is due out along with the film later this year).
So in short: All indications suggest Lego Harry Potter does exist, but we may have to wait a while to play it. But as for Lego Indiana Jones 2... could that indeed be the Lego game producer Nick Ricks promised would be released this year?
