yeah never blur your render thats your main focal, you want to blur the sides around it if anything at all the only blur having to do with the render would be a render in motion then youd duplicate your render and do a motion blur to the render behind your main one but never blur your main render :)

yeah and like i said make a duplicate of your render, do your motion blur and set your original render on top of it

And do like some sort of low overlay after it. Also with gradients i should do it on a lower layer and then do some sort of blending and it will work right.

erm imo i think it depends on the signature. for the most part though once im done with the text and effects and what not i copy visible and do the gradient maps on the top of it all. most signature tutorials i see does that. while others do it inbetween their artwork.

yeah sometimes ill put 1 gradient map over my entire sig and set it to overlay and sometimes ill put a gradient map on my background and a diff gradient map on my render just to make it pop out a little but i dont do anything that stands out too dramatically
