So it came out yesterday, just wanted to see what everyones thoughts were on firefight, the new campaign, new additions to MP, etc...

I like the choices we have in picking our firefight character, and the updated 'service tag'.

yeah this game was so not worth the price that they were selling it for... i mean really....

i won mines so i don't care, but it really should'nt have been full price for a game.

Hahaha yea, if you won it, you cant say anything about the price man, LOL, though I agree.

The maps could have been given to us via the marketplace/etc, and the campaign/firefight dont seem to be enough to justify $65, or even $100+ with a fancy ODST controller.

I liked the game though, just another chapter in the Halo cannon

Yea I haven't bought it yet but tried it at a friends house and it's just mostly recycled material from Halo 3. All it is is a new short campaign and Co-Op Firefight which is like playing Gears 2 Horde or WaW Nazi zombies.

If Firefight was released as DLC for Halo 3, I would buy it but I just didn't like how this game could of been $60+. It shouldn't have added Halo 3 online to it because pretty much everyone still has their Halo 3 disks and we could just pop in those if we want to play Halo 3 online. It should of been like $29.99.

But glad to see that there are people who enjoy it, so keep on gaming and kill those Covenant. :D

My thoughts on Halo ODST so far, it’s a pretty good game. I’m half way through the campaign. The new approach, game balance, story line keeps you wanting to go deeper into the story. Regardless of the game price tag for ODST, I personally think it’s worth it. Bungie has really put extreme hard work into it and you can tell as you play the game. I have not done multiplayer yet, but looking forward to it. I’ll make sure to check that out over the weekend. As of right now, multiplayer in ODST is only PARTY INVITE. I think I heard, if correctly, that will change later on.

I’ll make another post once I complete the game and do some heavy multiplayer action for my complete thoughts.

As of right now, ODST game is refreshing.

funny thing is the multi player disc is just halo 3 with all the maps on it, well added, you can't even download them so that's stupid.

they could've had firefight like horde mode where you can find randoms, haven't played nazi zombie on waw because well i sold the game before that came out lol.

overall, i'm diggin firefight... anyone wanna game some firefight send me a fr.

I like the game. I really like playing campaign because it never gets boring to me. I think firefight should be toned down a bit. Like the first few levels are insanely hard on heroic.

it's not insanely hard, i think it's pretty easy.

now when you get to the second set of enemies and your on like your 4th wave then yes (and that's by myself)

Gotta agree with the part about no MM for firefight. Invite only is nice, but why? Hopefully it is added in the future.

The campaign was a blast IMO, I just kinda ran through because I was giddy, but definitely plan on going back over and over to find things I'd missed before. With the size of the new mombasa, that may take a while :)

i personally can't get enough of this game and since i was a huge H2 player the amazing remake of Midship is so awesome to bad they didn't keep the name though, but the campaign is a 10/10 for me its so awesome and playing by myself actually made me feel isolated from everyone else until my cat came by me, i love it 10/10 glad i paid $100 for it:)

yeah..... you must not have no friends...

only way i'll pay that much for a game is when mw2 comes out, and that's actually for something you can show off, not another controller for your collection...

Only the display equivalent in the ms store (I prefer the cheesy controller lol). Im just saying you shouldnt expect those goggles to hold up in night time combat in Baghdad or anything lol

wasn't saying that's what they were intended to do.... but still they are far more better than a controller.

if people came over to your house do you think they are going to comment on your controller collection of "limited edition" controllers? or are they going to comment on the "limited edition" night vision goggles?

i'm pretty sure they won't pay mind to ANY controller ANY person will ever buy because, well it's a controller. there's nothing special about the controller besides the color, and if that's the case you could just go to youtube and find videos that show you how to paint the controller (really not that hard) and bam create your own controller that no one else will have....

heres a video of the nightvision goggles and whats included in that limited edition package... (which is FAR more better than the pos ODST threw together.)

and yes they are FULLY USABLE / FUNCTIONALLY...

I don't mind ODST, the campaign is a bit easy from what I've played, and firefight should just be downloadable content, it's a bit much for $60. Aside from that, the maps are nice and all of that, I think all of them are from the campaign though. It's a nice little addition if you like halo and the horde mode/Nazi zombie minigame-like things from Gears and WaW but I'll probably go with everyone keeps the game for the firefight mode.
