PAINTBALL HELP!

I am going paintballing with some friends in Oklahoma. I am new to paintball, and in order for me to go I need to get a good price on all the equipment I need. But first, I need a few questions answered.

1. What exactly do I need for paintball in order to not get hurt (to bad) and enjoy the game without limitations?

2. What is the best type of paintball gun for a beginner? and how much is it? Also, if you could include a link if its online that'd be awesome.

3. How much will all of this cost? I REALLY need to keep the cost down for my parents.

4. Is it worth going? I am going with friends and I am going to the largest paintball place in America , D-Day, which sounds fun and all, but I dont know if its worth it!

5. Any paintball tips? Like don't shoot fully auto or anything (that's just a made up example)

Thanks you guys I really appreciate your answers!

there are others that can help you much better than I, but i'll start the ball rolling...

1. two layers of clothing, and the top layer should fit you loose... i like fingerless gloves as well... and i hope that i don't have to tell you this, but u need a face mask too... when you get hit, it is still gonna sting, but it isn't horrible. your adrenaline is pumping so it's not bad... just as long as the people you are playing with are playing fair (keeping the psi on their gun to a good level and/or not freezing their paintballs!!!) best place to get hit is right between your eyes... you know ur hit and it doesn't hurt at all due to the mask...

2. that is a personal preference... i think a tipman 98 custom would be a fairly simple and not too expensive gun... i would really consult other people for their preference here though, as i have not had to buy a paintball gun in over 5 years and i'm not sure what the market is like now...

3. you can prolly get everything for a little over $200, you NEED a gun, Co2 container, Co2, paint, MASK, a hopper, and extra empty tubes for refiling paint on the go(can't remember what they are called all of a sudden)... there are other goodies that you can get to help, different barrels, gloves, ect. but they are not all needed

4. Lots of fun when you play with the right people... the first few times you go can be frustrating, you need to find your style(run and gun/hide and wait/something else unique), and develop teamwork... but it is normally a blast when friends are there and everyone is playing for the right reason... fun

5. find your own style/technique
use teamwork
use distractions
don't be afraid
