PENALTY FOR RAGE QUITTING TO LOSE ONE PRESTIGE LEVEL.

This would be an awesome idea. How many of you are tired of playing a match, you happen to be doing really well, almost have your most prized scorestreak and then BAM!!!! some host dashboards and you all get kicked?? Happens all to frequent. FIX THIS TREYARCH!!!

Prestige Penalty is absurd. Maybe cool-off time like 5-30 mins between quitting depending on circumstances. As far as everyone lags out, that is a call of duty problem that needs to be addressed.

Don't they already have a penalty up for quitting? Probation I think it is. Losing an entire prestige is a little drastic if you ask me.
Although I could be misread. An entire pretige from prestige 9 to 8 or just a single level?

Ive lagged out of three games in a row and got a 5 minute penalty and i was pissed. Now if i were to get a prestige demotion i would quit cod. Now i do agree that rage quitting does make me angry especially when im playing really well but like stated b4 i think its a little extreme to derank gamers for getting mad at the game. Now dashboarding is a different story cause then everyone in the game is affected

I'm talking about dashboarding. A cool off time is absurd. This won't prevent future dashboarding. Its not a severe enough penalty. It doesn't take long for some of these kids to level up. I understand lag being a factor in getting kicked. But that's not what I'm talking about, I'm talking about people straight up rage quitting because they happen to be losing, then dashboarding which affects the entire lobby not just your own team. Which in turn is counted as a loss to you.

and what happens when a persons Xbox freezes which means they have to turn the Xbox off and the next they turn it on they have lost a prestige? I fail to see the fairness in this method.

Maybe not a full prestige but i like the idea of deranking although on CoD people may not be bothered but certainly on halo people would hate it bevause it can take a while to rank up on the higher levels!

There are systems that can track habitual quitting and differentiate between it and lagging out of a match. I'm not sure about losing an entire prestige over habitual rage-quitting, but after a user has been flagged in the system as someone who does it often, maybe in-game feedback should effect their XP gained/lost.

I.e, they get flagged by the system, and quit out from 2 of their next 10 games. In those 2 games they quit out from, one of their teammates leaves 'Quitting' or 'Bad Sportsmanship' feedback, and they are then penalized with XP loss, an inability to play public matches for _ Hours, or even a rank reset.

But chances are nothing will happen. Why? Because MS's feedback system and titles are for the most-part, unrelated. Any feedback left on the 360 just goes towards that users total reputation, and in no way effects the game they are being shiesty on. Some titles offer their own feedback systems, or have their own means of tracking shady a**hats, but nothing that combines the two. The least we can hope for it Treyarch/IW/etc embracing their members feedback and implementing smart systems which can track these users, and deal with them in-game without involving MS.

I can agree with XP loss. Kind of like H3 back in the day when you quit matches.

If you rage quit early in Gears of War 3 you forfeit all previous XP from all previous games that day.

OoooOOoooo I likee, BUT only after 1 quit? That would suck if someone had kids, had to quit out early because one was doing something stupid, then lost all XP they had gained for the day..
