We all know who Metallica is. They are considered one of the most popular bands today. So when Neversoft released, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, we just knew that Guitar Hero: Metallica was going to happen. So what can we expect from this latest edition to the Guitar Hero Library? In truth, we can expect an exhausting and possibly the hardest setlist to date. It's Metallica, do they even write songs without guitar solo's? For those of you who play on medium, maybe it is time to get used to easy again.
What to Expect:
When looking back to GH: Aerosmith, the game had a setlist composed of both the bands songs and some of their favorite songs. The same will be done in GH: Metallica. With over 50 songs, a history of the band, and a ton of extra features, this is gonna be a great game. "The songs almost seem to be made for the game" says Chris Roper(IGN). With the Drums, Bass, and Vocals added, this game should be a little bit more active for everyone in the family. The drums have been remade a little in GH: Metallica. When Lars gets to a drum solo, the sound and effects will be more directed on the solo. Not on the vocals or guitar. The guitar is still incredible, and the Metallica songs will prove a challenge. Still the game was created with the consideration of the gamers who have a challenged hand-eye coordination. In previous games, all songs had to be completed to unlock another location. In GH: Metallica, a certain amount of stars will be required to move on. So as long as you can get those stars, you will continue to move on, even if not all songs were completed. If you get stuck on a song, you can go back to a song in the previous locations and attempt to improve your stars.
Expect cinematic moments throughout the game, bringing up facts about the band. Get some behind-the-scene clips, a bunch of fan based information, interviews, and a diary. The game was made with alot of consideration to how the members move, and the special things that make each member unique. Drum over is a feature new to GH. The mode is available only through a cheat code. The best part about it is that you can play any song your way without failing. So that urge to just slam the drums like a maniac and feel like a true rockstar is now a reality. "The team at Neversoft worked hard on this game, and it shows in every aspect of the game."
