Minecraft PS4 Edition will be available on PlayStation Store this Thursday before 12:00 p.m. PT for $20 USD, according to the PlayStation Blog.
Those who previously bought the disc or digital version of Minecraft PS3 Edition will be able to upgrade to PS4 Edition for $5.00 USD. This applies to players who have a saved game of the PS3 version and are signed into their PS4 console with the same SEN account. Full directions are outlined on the blog.
Players will be able to import PS3 saves to the PS4 Edition, which offers worlds 36 times bigger than the PS3 version.
IGN's Greg Miller saw the PS4 version of Minecraft on the PlayStation Store Mobile Storefront earlier today. PlayStation France later confrmed on Twitter that the digital version was releasing tomorrow.
The PS4 version was resubmitted for testing last week after it failed to pass certification due to "some issues" found in the final test. The PS4 Edition news follows Microsoft's recent announcement that Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will launch September 5 for $20 USD.

It’s official: Minecraft on Xbox One has a release date. Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will launch on Friday, September 5th and will cost $19.99.
Better yet, if you already own Minecraft on Xbox 360, you'll get a significant discount. The game will only cost $4.99 for those who already purchased it on Microsoft's last-gen console. (According to Microsoft, "To qualify for the $4.99 USD upgrade offer, players must own the retail disc or digital version of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition and connect to Xbox Live with their account.")
Minecraft on Xbox One allows for worlds to be created that are up to 36 times bigger than the worlds possible on Xbox 360. The game will support four player split-screen for local play, and can accommodate up to eight players at a time via Xbox Live.
