Okay, I want to start off by saying, this is not a flame at boosters. I just dont feel like doing that (boosting) with this game, its too much fun, and if you follow these suggestions, maybe you will find it to be fun too! This is stuff that I have recently started to implement myself, and it seems to be working well.
Play with friends? Sure that's cool, sometimes you have to in order to fill the freaking room. I simply suggest letting everyone in the room know, they can quit out if they dont like it. Its still a fair fight, and our only way of playing with our friends the way we want while still working on achievements.
Now, the details (simple for sure).
Play Execution ONLY to start out! You can get your curb stomp/chainsaw/revive achievements WAY faster this way, because unless you headshot them, boomshot, or grenade tag them, you have to perform a kill move or they can A button back to life or get revived by a team mate. Also, the same happens in reverse for you and your team, so you can REVIVE team members and work on that achievement too.
Also, when I play 3 round matches, I get a lot of QUITTERS, and they take away your stats from what I understand (that explains why I dont have near as many kills as I thought I did). So try and avoid them.
Now I play only 5 or 7 point matches (7 preferred). Also, I suggest playing on the same map that you like, over and over, and over. You will memorize the weapon locations, enemy patterns (if there are any), and help your team mates improve on that map just by playing with you. I have NEVER had one person quit in a 7 point match, although I am sure it will happen and I will be ****ed when it does. I am able to get at least 10 kills, and at least 10 revives in each 7 point match. You do the math, it wont be long before I get one of these durn achievements!
STICK TOGETHER- I saw the guy on the GoW preview event videos online saying it over and over, and he knew what he was talking about. It sounds routine, and my teams always say 'we will stay together' but then they run off for a weapon by themselves instead of covering our flank, and the whole thing is over quickly. If you stick together, you get alot of 2 on 1 shooting sessions, and you can revive each other much easier.
Grenade stick / Boomshot groups of enemies. Getting one of them is good if you dont go down too, but when I bum rush at least 2 dudes by holding A, and have my grenades armed, I press B and jam myself up against the guy. His partner(s) alot of the time will try and get a chainsaw kill or shotgun blast. By the time they do (which is fine with me since its a 2 or 3 for 1) the grenade pops and they are red chunks.
Reserve sniper for later in the round, where it is 1 on 1 or maybe 2 on 2. At this point, people slow down and use cover a lot more, and if you can isolate yourself without the other side knowing where you are, you will have ample opportunity to track their movements and pick them off.
