I just found you guys by accident, looking around to see what was out there.
Here's the deal. I am an "older" gamer 53; yeah, really older, and I play mostly FPS, but I have a little of everything. I play almost exclusively 360, but I do own a Playstation. Being around a little longer, I can afford more toys than I could at one time. I have a Vizeo high/def TV, use Astro headphones. I got the Tritton Pros for Christmas, but they haven't seen the light yet.
I'm not as fast as I used to be, so I have to play smart.
I'm hear to check it out. Yes, I belong to another clan, but I'm not a troll. I have been with H2O in the COD Division since December 25. They are structured semi-rigidly as you appear to be. I don't have a problem with structure; I do have a problem when someone lets a clan title go to their head.
There seems to be a state of turmoil within the structure of most groups. Drama, I guess you'd call it. I don't do drama. People take stuff to dang seriously.
I'm a nice guy, and most people are shocked when I tell them how old I am. I suppose attitude has a lot to do with it.
I'm here to see what kind of reaction I get; to see if there is a group I can game with that better fits my needs.
I also started Photoshop a few months ago, and am a mod at two different sig sites. I wrote an online column for a group called TangoDown, and I was editor for the quarterly online mag. . .DutyLife. I love to write, but the editing thing was too much.
That's it. See ya' in the trenches, maybe.

Heheheheh, I'm an "older" guy as well around these parts (38) so I get what you're saying.
Honestly, the last thing I need in my own off time or hobbies is DRAMUH. Ugh. Seriously.
When I come to play online, shoot badguys and have a good time I'm looking for a few things:

A team environment where everyone is considered a part of the team and treated with respect.

Good communication so we as a team can react to incoming fire and neutralize it or work around it.

Generally cool people looking for a bit of competition and a bit of fun. Structure is cool, but letting titles and stuff go to their heads is a bunch of bunk.

TexasTwister...shop around, play with lots of the folks around here and find a team (clan) that fits you best. There's no rush. A good fit with a team is like any other relationship.

See you 'round campus man.
Shoot me a friend request and I'll show you around to a bunch of folks from various clans so you can play some games and get to know people. Get with Liquidkhaos and the Tango guys as well, they are good people.

Good luck!
