5th Batt/6th Mechanized Infantry. Ft. Polk, Louisiana ~ 1983

1st Batt/41st Field Artillery Hardt Kaserne ~ Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany 1983 - 1985

3rd Batt/11th Mechanized Infantry. Ft. Stewart, Georgia 1985

M.O.S. ~ 11B-10C2, Infantryman, Dragon Gunner At all stations.

I guarded Pershing II missiles in Germany. I actually volunteered to go over there just after they started assigning the missile deployment locations.

Didn't like the idea of riding around in an APC ~ Armored Personnel Carrier. Felt like if I ever got deployed, it was a coffin with an engine and wheels.

Those things are never fun every second can be torches for the first few times you ride around in them fortunately my unit never had any problems.

The adrenaline is always fun though.

I was a 45D turret mech on the Paladin A6 Howitzers, made E-5 in three years from private.
Got out of the Army because I chose to put my family first. But I still miss the Army at times.
