I don't understand how people can fall for such phishing attacks. The website is so blatantly fake it's nearly screaming it at you. I mean, did you really even bother to look at it before you typed in your credentials?

Google ads on a Microsoft sponsored website? Right.....
Countless mistakes in the text...
Besides, why would Amazon ever give away Microsoft points? Lol, they have no connection whatsoever.

Sorry istrition, not trying to attack you or anything, just pointing out the obvious.
Contact Amazon to have your credentials restored, dispute the charges with your bank/creditor, all is well.

learn from mistakes. didnt really bother to look, and didnt expect a amazon account take over. i thought if it was fake, he would try and go for my gamertag or email account. [not sure why] just didnt think it all threw. guess that shows im a sucker for scams. send them my way. lol

Yeah, sorry to hear that. A tip? Look at whether the sight is a .com, .net, .org, .info or .gov. I could just look at the .tk ending and tell. But lesson learned.

I fell for a phishing scam too. But nothin happened.

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with this guy, I mean, that free microsoft points garbage is all a fake. 3 of my friends on Xbox got scammed by that and they had to make a new account...the one guy had like a 50,000 gamerscore, and they gave that up for 1600 MSP, Just a tip in the future, you're better off just buying your stuff legit on things like that, because now look what you have to do? Is the risk worth the reward? Thats what you need to ask yourself. Hope everything works out.
