WHAT HEADSET DO YOU HAVE?

just wondering what headset people like and why...

My gaming arsenal has a 4g slim and a tritton ax pro headset.. i love this tritton headset do to the fact that i have many time delay options. Trittons by far have more sound control then most headsets. Im sure its going to suit any gamers profile. tritton ax pro's are a true 5.1 dolby digital surround sound that consists of 4 speakers per ear muff (front , rear, center and bass)... i bought my xbox from my cousin and took over his gamertag "sickdawg99" and he left me with a KDR of .37. this was about a month ago and now im on the verge of hitting the 1.0 Kdr mark. So yes this headset is truly a big help to find that guy creeping around....

If you have this headset i recommend that you turn the surround sound(on the digital box) all the way up then back down 5 times then switch to center channel and turn it all the way down. then on your channel control. make it all to the highest blue. then click on the rear channel and go up 3 times(better to know whos behind you since you can see in front)... the last thing is to turn the bass to the highest green.

I can vouch for the Tritton AX Pros. They exceeded my expectations in every department. When I first pulled them out I wasn't sure they were going to be comfortable. They are a lot lighter than they appear. The sound control is extremely customizable. There are plenty of instructions and youtube videos out there for recommended settings for specific games, such as the one in this thread already.

I have the turtle beach x31s. My only complaint is the wire that plugs into the controller. It is WAY to fragile and WAY to short.

i have the turtle beach x31s I have never had a problem with them wire even thought i wish there wasnt a wire. The only compliant i have is that when i am done talking/playing i always turn off my headset. My batteries die within 3 days so if u buy my headset buy a rechargeable battery pack too =)

I had X31 that I bought used but the cord gave out so I bought a cheap pair of turtle beach and they aren't wonderful but I can hear people talk and they haven't broken yet.

I like Turtle beach x11 here is why.
1) x31 wireless will messwith your internet signal raise ping and cause lag
2) they are only 60 and give you surround sound in 5.1 DD
3) the higher Turtles have 7.1 DD but most games are only 5.1 so you waste money it still outputs in 5.1
4) Astros and others cost more and have same stats
For useability/functionality/cost Turtlebeach x11 are the best to have

Standard Xbox mic here. Poor student + I did fine (2.5+ kdr on BOs) with them and a CRT tv so I didn't see the need to spend big bucks on upgrading.

I probably would upgrade if I had a bit more spare cash around though; and my new TV doesn't even have better speakers than my cheapo old TV :/ .

Turtle beach DX11s ftw. LOVE EM! Great sound and clarity. Simulated surround sound works perfectly. I can hear exactly where someone is on BlackOps... as for MW2, not so much, but I havent played with the settings in it either. Still sounds great though.

Amen to that!! You can still functionally play the game without spending tons on a headset just so you can turn around on people sneaking up to you!!

Regular $20 xbox headset. I can hear every single movement from a long distance away in mw2. (seriously) its what happens when I play S&D too much. saves me $100 bucks or more hehe.
