At first for me I wasn't sure what I was even getting into this is the first community over been a part of in my gaming career. But I will say since then I've come to love this place and its been the best decision I've ever made. Not only that, it was a good place for me to get some control back to my life when it hit a very low point. Even though it doesn't seem plausible this place kept me from making some pretty stupid decisions in real life by just having people there for me when no one else would and now years later I'm moving up the XG ladder and I look forward to being a leader here and paying back what this place has given me through dedication and loyalty. Everything has its pros and cons but spend enough time here and you'll learn the pros are well worth the down sides.

Much loe Bro, and well said. I had no idea what I was getting into when I joined but liked the idea of not having to play with a bunch of randoms when I did get online.

Since joining, I've learned a lot about the game and have really improved, I owe it to you guys for giving out pointers and helping me hone what little skill I have. Like Army said, I love this place and have developed friendships with these guys. It's good to feel a part of something in a world that seems to teach us to only look out for yourself. Not to mention the sens of pride and accomplishment you get from working together as a team.

Joining XGC has been very rewarding to me. As I climb through the ranks, I only hope to be able to give back to the community and be as good as those who came before me.

Well I had been traveling around all the clans and found XGC Darkages had been the best clan I had ever been in. I had been in many majorly populated clans (first being KSI but then I relized what a lost cause that was) and I found that XG had so much to offer it's community.

When I joined I was intentionally looking for a sniper squad out of 4,800+ people. I also found out people make signatures. So I created signatures just as a hobby when I game. I then notice I can become a very useful person to the community as a designer creating signatures for others.

In the promotion aspect, At the beginning I want to be dedicated person and stand out in my squad, showing that I am not a "1 and gone" kind of recruit. I also wanted to aim high. But as I rank up I felt like responsibilities are a little to high, and that I am not that type of person of high rank.

Having played COD since version 3, I always played free4all (though I don't talk alot, you can interact with all players if you choose). Playing team was different leaving me thinking team had more lag, caused you to die due to others, caused you to avoid shooting a teammate while being sprayed with bullets.

Then, while playing blkops, a few in free4all invited me to some team play. I accepted due to the company and the conversation. One person was in a clan. I confess I had no research on clans to draw upon. After repeated game play with the same people, and some rather verbal kids during a game, the subject of clanning came up. I simply felt I was in good company, and we all joined XGC. Only after having joined did I begin to learn and feel I lucked out on the subject of clans. If I did my homework I would have easily chosen XGC.

My biggest problem is XBOX not allowing more than 100 friends. I'm constantly explaning to people why I had to temporarily delete them... I try not to pick the same person twice when this happens. There are those who show up to play.. their lives are busy and they get down to the "play"... there are many others who make this environment like a facebook with sound... rather than texting there's solid interaction which has grown to sharing phone texts, facebook associations, closer than expected friendships, and more.

We live in a global world. In a single game I've interacted with a lady who was whipping everyone only to find she was in her 2nd year stationed in Italy and was an American AirForce pilot. The same game had a couple of guys stationed in Germany. We talked about everything... barbqueing, weather, etc only to back out after a while and play some Texas Hold'em with them.

Facebook could not offer that interaction. So, I have and am enjoying my clan experience, and would recommend it. I doubt I would have met as many people had I not joined XGC. The caliber of people is the real treat... so many many interesting friendly people.

To answer the question... My thought was to have a connection to a few I enjoyed playing with... I have grown to enjoy a rather large crowd. The other night, MW3 came out. I got up at 1:30am (CST) and slipped the game in for the first time. My friends list said 87 people were online. My son looked at me shaking his head laffin.
