WHAT XGC IS TO ME.

XGC BIG COUNTRY

New member
I was recruited into XGC by a friend I had been playing with. I noticed there was a lot of like minded people that showed a lot of respect while they played. This is the sole basis of my decision to join another clan. RESPECT. While I am very competitive in the game at times, I mainly use the game to wind down from a strenuous day at work. We all know XG is Xiled Gaming. The C in XGC is the main point I want to hit on. Community. Communities consist of males, females, blacks, whites, hispanics, mexicans, chinese, japanese, germans, irish, etc etc. However, they are still a Community. In order for them to be a community, they much Coexist. I have heard things inside of this community that never should have taken place. Arguments, talking about other members, showing offline when you are actually online, refusing to play with fellow members. This is in no way Coexisting. We all have people we don't like. I'm not saying that we have to be best friends with them, or even friends for that matter. But we must tolerate one another and not let it flow over into the community and have an impact on multiple people. This is exactly what tears communities apart. As a community, we should be able to lean on one another for help. No matter if your in No Fear, Acensions, Etc, we should all be able to rely on the others to help when we need it as well as make ourselves available if they need it. Again, it is a community, we should be presenting it this way to everyone, including ourselves. We should be known for the best "community". Maybe we played a team in an objective match and they beat us by 170 points. No need in getting mad. Congratulate that other team, no matter how the did it, it worked. They won. They most likely have put in the training to be able to do that. Which brings up another subject.
Training. I can't speak for all members, but I know that most of the people I play with are hardcore gamers, myself included (I am definitely a HCTDM guy). This Comes back to the community aspect of things. If you live in a community and no one can build a house, no one can drill wells, no one can wire a house, no one can cook. That isn't much of a community. It is a community that is full of talk and disgusting in every way imaginable because of the lack of necessities (toilets, baths, etc) that the community needs. In order for us to be the BEST community, we have to be good in all aspects of the game. I hate core as much as the next guy, but as soon as I get my weapons set up for core (I just prestiged and have to get the right attachments), I am spending the next couple of weeks in core. Not only to better myself as a core player and make myself more knowledgeable about the gameplay, but also to hopefully find some more recruits that enjoy playing core. I am familiar with how my captain runs us, and per my recommendation I believe he is going to follow something I asked. We always played for player of the week in HCTDM. To get people playing core, make the player of the week challenge in core. make it with a very unused weapon. Change it up. Put it at a true challenge. Make all member want to broaden their skills.
Lastly, Clan wars. I realize not all members want to play clan wars. this is when the competitive side of me does come out. We need to come up with a game plan that gets our clans wars players together and allows them to play against like clans. My last clans wars, we have 15 members play, 2 of which were recruited during clan wars, and less than 10 that actively played. We were paired up against clans with 19-20 members, some of which had all active players. We played our best and still come up in second place. However, Had all members we had registered been playing, and actively playing, I have no doubt that the clan wars would have been ours. My main concern on this is to voice to your captain, your lieutenant, someone that your either want to play clan wars or you don't want to. Then allow our higher ups to figure out what may work to allow for us to be legitimately competitive in clan wars with equality spread across the board for all clans competing.
As my captain says over and over, it's just a game, lets all have fun. But lets put our heads together and figure out how we can improve on the fun we are having. How we can make people want, practically beg, to join XG. How we can put our names out there as the best in all areas, competitive, ambitious, gracious, pleasurable, helping, etc etc. Lets truly turn it into a community that everyone wants to be in.
I appreciate any and all feedback, both negative or positive that anyone wants to leave. I will update more later, but wanted to get this out for everyone to see. Hope you all have a great evening and very successful gaming.
