I'm gonna agree with AZ on the flat part, but the colors don't really bother me that much. I like the size of v2, but I don't like how the focal is gone.

just because it doesnt have EXTREME depth like ur stuff doesnt mean its flat. it just has a more subtle depth, and your eyes should go to the focal bc of the contrast with the white piece on the necklace, if its not then you should prolly go to the eye doctors.

That seemed a little more like ragging than CnC man ... kinda unnecessary.

Im gonna agree with brent and az it looks flat imo I dont see depth at all subtle or not. Maybe were not the ones with the eye problems oxy...

i was talking about the contrast with the white when i was talking about the eye doctors... and its all in the middle ground and all dark so there isnt rly anything wrong with the depth. depth is a trick to get ppl to focus on the focal, but since there is a huge light behind the focal you dont need to blur the hell out of tags because the lighting should draw you to the area.

You can give the effect of depth with blurring by blurring certain areas to an extent, not over blurring, Lightning draws attention to the focal not depth [Silly Concept] Depth is to help detail the tag. Example, You can have perfect depth, but without a light source the tag is dark. The light source helps add to the focal

The depth can be solved very easily, instead of blurring the entire image use a Layer mask, G Blur to about 1.3, and use the black/white (either/or) brush tool to bring out the face and keep certain area blurred to create depth.

This is not CnC, just my opinion on depth in general, use my method or not doesn't matter to me.

Pretty sure that depth is making something appear 3 dimensional and not just like a sheet of paper...

the reason it would look 3d is bc your eye focus's, if the whole tag is in the middle ground it would only slightly blur out the sides of the tag, and since there rly isnt much to blur other than the black the blurring wouldnt make much of a difference. the reason you would think its flat is bc the black r the same shades by leveling, which was to blend the focal into the middle ground and relate the colors to the focal.

i can go all day...

Depth
A term most often used in Design; The depth of field refers to the amount of the image that is in focus; The larger the depth of field, the more that is in focus;A large aperture on your lens will result in a smaller depth of field;A small aperture on your lens will result in a large depth of field.

Also depth refers to your focus it can be use by blur/sharpen ,burn/dodge tool etc

You can go all day but that still doesnt change peoples opinion by blending a focal into the middle ground u take away from the depth so by that means you get opinions of people saying its flat if thats a problem then CnC isnt what you want

Slim if u dont want cnc then maybe you should post letting people know if you want it take it if not then dont doesnt really matter to most of us
