Well the L was purely cause just Pokerking was not available... Lol
Why Pokerking? well it's my real life nickname, my dad taught me how to,play stud when I was a kid and I have been playing poker ever since.
In 1998 I started playing seriously in casinos, I quit my real job in 2002 and started playing full time poker. The poker boom after Chris Moneymaker won the WSoP main event helped to fund my full time poker career by driving all the fish to the tables, effectively making it easier to make money haha.
I have played in the main event along with usually 4-8 other events at the WSoP since 2002, mainly winning my seat in smaller satellite tournaments, many of them from online sites.
I went back to my old job of Chief Technology Officer for a major company for 2 reasons 1. after the internet gambling laws changed in The USA much of the easy money disappeared, second, I needed emergency surgery for a gallbladder and after paying $150k in medical bills I realized the value of company paid insurance benefits.
In 2011 I went back to poker fulltime and have never looked back.
Stats:
Yes I have the honor of winning 1 WSoP bracelet in stud (thanks dad). I have cashed a total of 9 times 2 times in a main event.
I have made a WPT final table and cashed in WPT events 11 times.
I have been on ESPN WSoP coverage 2 times and onetime where I am in the background. Haha
