Why I joined the community?
Well, I started with Xbox 360 back in the day when Halo was popular. I didn't even know what an Xbox even was. Growing up, I remembered watching my older brother play Resident Evil on the original Playstation. I didn't purchase my own Xbox 360 until roughly 8yrs ago and the first game that came with it was Black Ops 2. Like for real though, the game really crawled under my skin. I remembered, playing on Plaza and continuously getting sniped from everywhere. It irritated me so bad that i quit playing the game all together. One morning, I was off work and decided to give the game another try and from then on I was nonstop gaming every chance I got. The adrenaline rush of winning the games to trash talking others on the game because they lost...it was awesome. I became a solo gamer, kept to myself and game by myself. Two years later, I met MzzTemper84, who is now known as SYN MzzTemper General over SYN Envy 7. This was the first female friend I had on my friends list. Reason why I didn't keep alot of females on my friends list was because 1-they think they're better than everyone else 2-they're there for the quote on quote...Attention. I mean c'mon...some of the females that I ran across thinks I am there to steal their thunder...Honey, this isnt a Rain Cloud Groupie...this is Xbox. One day, I believe early October 2016, I remembered her saying she had Clan practices and meetings to attend. I was like...JUST DITCH EM, CLANS SUCK LOL...before I knew it, I was approached by a member from her clan. Yet still skeptical about joining, I said what the hell, why not...and I was read in. The funny thing about it was, I remembered running into a group of, then I didn't know, of SYNdicate Section Leaders and Division Leaders on Studio...talk about camping much? lol I called them all camping little b's with no skills and turned out one was the section leader over the clan I joined. Luckily, he had no recollection of that game.
Shortly after joining SYN Reapers, I didn't see myself moving up further than a sergeant. Clans were still not a thing for me, I was rebellious and terrible at following rules and regulations...I was going to just quietly fade away and do my own thing. The more I showed up for practice, the more I showed interest in possibly moving up in ranks. I wanted to learn how to be a leader and show that I can be a leader and teach others how to play the game. Honestly, I was tired of losing clan battles lol.
After spending a short period of time in SYN Reapers, I transferred to SYN Envy 7 under SYN Yankee and xTHE MAD PANDAx. It was a change, not as much members but I set a goal to recruit. I was terrrible at recruiting, but watching how my leaders recruit gave me the general knowledge that recruiting quality over quanity was what we were suppose to do. Run a couple games with them and get to know who they are. Show interest in them and see how their personaly fits in with everyone else. Til this day, the one sentence that stuck in my head...ALWAYS REMEMBER TO RULE WITH AN IRON FIST (xTHE MAD PANDAx and DVS456). What I've learned from them is what I am currently still using til this day. They were like birds...kicking me out of the nest before I could even fly to see if I will fly on my own or fall on the ground. What they've taught me, I'll never forget. Good leaders lead by example, they take what they learn and run with it while teaching others along the way on how to be successful leader and in time, they will take what they learned and teach others.
I joined the community for the fun of it...I never thought I'd see myself sitting where I am at today thanks to SYN MzzTemper for drafting me into the community lol, SYN Yankee, xTHE MAD PANDAx and SYN DVS456 for pushing me out of the comfort of the birds nest and believing there's hope in me. You guys are awesome.
This is home, no matter how many times someone says it's not....it is...when I made the decision to leave, I was homesick...games weren't fun anymore. I was always running solo and always running into blueberries that didn't know how to collaborate as a team.
