seems like she was just kinda placed inside an already made design.. doesnt seem like shes part of the image as a whole.
also the light source is extremely strong. other than that i like the colors and what you were going for it just needs a few tweaks

Ok, so tone down light source, check. But she was placed in an already made design.... So maybe put a couple of the layers over her?? Lol there's like 20 different layers in this one. Or you mean keep layers the way they are but blend her in more? I did one of her with real low opacity which looked really cool as a wallpaper but blends the focal point down which normally you guys frown upon.

idk i just feel that all the was already made and she was just kinda stuck in there her + the design dont blend very well together.

I understand your cnc, but what I'm asking is what you think I can do to make it better. Or what would you have done differently. Here lies the problem with cnc (as a general statement), more times than not, here and with my application, I either don't get cnc with my sigs and other artwork or I get opinions that don't help me grow. I'm looking to gain every bit of knowledge from everyone that criticizes my work so I can learn from my mistakes. I can tell you I made that background from scratch and even give you the psd file to show all the layers and everything I did. I didn't just find a background and place her on it, I spent a lot of time on it. You say it looks otherwise and I accept that, what would you have done differently?

I would look up a tutorial and learn new things.
I would build a background from the image rather than building a background and placing an image in it somewhere.
I would make the focal more noticeable rather than the effects taking over the sig.

We cant always be there to guide you every step of the way. Look up some tutorials, learn some new things. Thats what i did... I almost never get proper cnc on anything i post so i have to help myself learn rather than relying on others. Im sorry you feel we are not fitting your needs but you shouldnt fully rely on us in the first place. Yes we would like to help you, yes that is the point of the training grounds but you need to help yourself also.

Im sorry if I sound like a ***** right now but Im just trying to be honest.

No not at all and I absolutely agree, but everytime I make something and post it feeling confident in my work, its never right and I'm just trying to find out what the "standard" is for people on the design team. There has to be some sort of standard otherwise the team isn't a team, its a bunch of people with their own individual ideas of how things should look. Correct me if I'm wrong but this seems to be the case. I do tutorials, learn new techniques, and still have yet to meet what's expected. Idk, no hard feelings of any kind (sorry if it came out that way) ill just keep doing what I'm doing :)

Everyone has thei unique style yes. Its the quality of the sig we look for such as.. is the focal notceable? Is it blended well? Does it look like its suppose to be there rather than pasted in randomly? Is there correct lighting? Is the text an appropriate size so it is not taking over the sig? Do the colors work well together? Those are some of the key elements we look for. I hope this helps you some.

It's always harder using a real person as the focal for an image as we know how they are supposed to look and if a image deviates from that it looks unnatural. That is the problem here.
To counter this, I'd suggest trying some of the following:
- erasing the dot effect from her body
- erasing or lowering the gradient map? from her body (she has a purple/grey kind of hue right now)

As for the effects, choose some colors that would suit the girl. For example, I'd consider what coloured clothes she would look good in. Weird way to work it out, I know, but think of the effects you pair her with as clothes or accessories. Personally, I don't think she would suit green.
It's an unorthodox method, but it seems to work lmao.

I think you've also trapped yourself by using a large canvas. She only takes up roughly one half of the image. For vertical images, traditional placement rules do not apply. Chop off most of the left side, and you'll have less room to fill (meaning you can focus on a smaller space = easier) and she won't look quite so awkward.

I hope this is the type of CnC you are after.

1.everytime I make something and post it feeling confident in my work, its never right and I'm just trying to find out what the "standard" is for people on the design team. 2.There has to be some sort of standard otherwise the team isn't a team, its a bunch of people with their own individual ideas of how things should look. Correct me if I'm wrong but this seems to be the case. 3. I do tutorials, learn new techniques, and still have yet to meet what's expected.
1.Nothing any of us make is perfect we all have things we can improve on.
2. It's a team because we all work together to make sigs for the community and any other requests XG has. If we all had the same style sigs would be boring after while. A band that plays the same note usually doesn't go to far
3. You have been getting much better and it's cool watching how you've improved.

Try building the background off of colors from the render

It's a good improvement in my opinion. Not so distracting.
I'd add just a hint of pale colour to the background though just so she blends in a bit better. Maybe a very subtle touch of tan colour or something.
