Fortnite - The Progress
Fortnite Battle Royale was originally released in the summer of 2017. The game quickly became popular, and became a top favorite for many gamers. The game was, and still is, a free game that you can download. Fortnite being a Battle Royale game, the objective was pretty simple. Be the last man, or team, standing. In the game, you would jump out of a bus connected to a hot air balloon, glide your way to your choice of landing, and search for weapons, ammo, health, etc. One thing that separates Fortnite from other Battle Royale games, is that you dont have only your fists when you land; you have an axe! This axe is used to cut down trees, rocks, buildings, etc to get material. You could also use the axe to kill an enemy; if you're brave enough. During your search for materials though, there is a blue timer on the top right of your screen, underneath the map. Once that timer starts getting low, or turns purple, you should start running. Why, you may ask? every couple of minutes a storm comes through, going to a circle marked on the map. If you dont make it to the circle and get stuck in the storm, make sure to get out of there as quickly as possible! When in the storm, you will notice that your health will start to go down, staying in the storm for too long will result in a tragic ending for you, and you lose the game.
When Fortnite originally started there was only 3 game modes - Solo, Duos, and Squads. But since the release, the creators of Fortnite have put in limited game modes that you can participate in. They have also added a game mode called playground! This game mode allows you to practice your building, or to enter the island with three other friends to go against each other; whether its a free-for-all or if you and your friends decide to do duos against each other!
Wait, you can build? Yes! The building options you have gives you walls, floors, stairs, and roofs! You can use these options to get around the map or to defend yourself when encountering enemies! Another major difference in Fortnite that separates it from other battle royale games! But make sure that you don't run out of materials. Once you run out of materials, you can no longer build platforms to defend yourself.
Fortnite Battle Royale has continued to grow, keeping the gamers that play excited. With the differences that separates Fortnite from other game modes, the limited game modes, along with other bonuses to having this game; Fortnite has continued to be a very popular game for people of all ages. What will Fortnite surprise us with next? I guess we will just wait and see!
Until next time,
