1ST PLACE - XILED GAMING REVOLUTION

1st Place - Xiled Gaming Revolution

Xiled Gaming Revolution
By KoG Gunner XL

So there is this place. A place anyone can go. Someplace that is for any type of person of any age. It is considered a revolution of sorts; A global phenomenon. You are probably wondering what exactly this is. Is it on the news? It is something going to happen? The answers to that are NO. It is all based around gaming. Yes, I said gaming, as in video games. And this place I talk about is known as an organization. It goes by the name or Xiled Gaming Inc.

Xiled Gaming Inc. is an online organization of over 20,000 people. That’s right, I said 20,000 people! Xiled Gaming is branched on every gaming device such as: Xbox, Xbox 360, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, and more. Xiled Gaming is a place where anyone is accepted. There is something for every single type of person. If you are an adult gamer who just wants to game with other adults, then there is a place called XGC or Xiled Gaming Company for you to join. It is for anyone of 18 years or older. If you are under 18 or just want to game with any kind of age, then there is a place called KoG or Kings of Gaming. This is for gamers of any age who just want to hang out. If you are a hardcore gamer, do not take trash from anyone, and will t-bag and trash talk a storm, then there is a place called SYN or the Syndicate. This is for gamers who want to trash talk and t-bag. If you are a lady gamer who wants to game with other girls, then XGG or Xiled Gaming Girls is the place for you. And if you are a professional gamer who wants to play in tournaments or just play competitively, then XGL or Xiled Gaming League is the place for you. Confused with the different 3 letter names? Think of it like this: Xiled Gaming as a whole is the main name such as the NFL. KoG, XGC, XGG, and XGL and SYN are divisions in it such as AFC and NFC in the NFL. And under them are teams or clans. Get it now? Xiled Gaming also has an Honor Code. Basically, the Honor Code is the same for all the divisions except for SYN where the only difference is that the members of SYN can trash talk.

Xiled Gaming is a place for any gamer to come to and just plain out have fun with other gamers. With so many members, if you get bored or have a rough day, it is impossible to come on and not have someone to play with and just let loose. It is somewhere you can go to get away with people of similar things. You meet so many people and learn tons upon tons of things. Xiled Gaming wants you to be able to have a specific place for you to be able to go to. Like I explained earlier, there are many different places within Xiled Gaming for you to go to. The Divisions are partly based off of Microsoft’s GamerZones. XGC is the Recreational area, KoG is the Family area, SYN is the Underground area, and XGL is the Professional area. XGG is just another division made specifically for lady gamers. There is a place for anyone with these divisions. And better yet, there are people in those divisions who are just like you! Gaming doesn’t get much better, nor fun then that. And to think that it has only been around for 1 year! Xiled Gaming has accomplished so much within just 1 year that it is dominating the gaming world!

I know I am talking and giving all this info on Xiled Gaming, but what makes me know all of this? Well, some of you may know me, and others may not. I am known as KoG GUNNER XL or XG GUNNER XL. Let me give a little story about my time in Xiled Gaming. I started in another Halo 2 clan before XG was created. I met some of the current Council members in that area before they were called The Council. They got together and decided on creating XGC. I was told about it, loved the idea, and decided to help them. I came into XGC as a Section Leader. I was known as XGC GUNNER XL. I helped create clans, recruit members, and grow XGC. After almost 2 months of my time in XGC, I was asked by the Council to help create a new division for gamers of any age limit. Of course, I was ecstatic to help with my own division. So I and a few other members created Kings of Gaming as a part of Xiled Gaming. That was 11 months ago. I have been in KoG since then. I got promoted to Division Leader over Kings of Gaming and all of Xiled Gaming in July for my work. During my time in Xiled Gaming, I have developed so much. I have learned how to deal with situations that people go through, and this ends up helping in my life outside the gaming universe, such as high school drama, friends, family, jobs, etc. I got to know so many people. I have met some people in Xiled Gaming that I have met up with outside gaming. That is pretty damn cool! These are people I will have very good friendships with, and this all happened in a gaming organization. I learned and developed leadership. I am currently over all of the over 3000 members in KoG and over the 20,000 members in Xiled Gaming as a whole and I have to be able to handle, control, and govern them. This comes with help too. Basically, I am a 16 year old guy who loves to have fun. I like to just sit, joke around, and game as much as the next person. I can be extremely immature, but Xiled Gaming has also helped me develop a maturity level matched up to those in their 30s and 40s. I can act like that with drama and problems then have fun as my usually joking self again.

There’s just so much about Xiled Gaming that makes me stay and never want to leave. But honestly, the certain aspect of Xiled Gaming that if my favorite is the ability to have a place for anyone. I think that is one of the most unique things that have been put into a gaming organization. It’s not just one place where you go and that’s it, it is a place for you to choose the area you think is best for you. Your type of gaming and your type of personality is in one of the divisions Xiled Gaming has. It is my favorite part of this amazing organization.

Finally, as for the future of Xiled Gaming, all it will do is grow and continue to revolutionize the gaming world. It will keep developing new aspects for gamers, it will keep spreading to new games a platforms. Big games that Xiled Gaming is on right now are: Halo 2, FEAR, Gears of War, World of Warcraft, Rainbow 6 Vegas, and way way way more! It will keep spreading to all the gaming platforms like it is now. Lots and lots of people will keep joining Xiled Gaming because of its sheer amazing ness. To sum it up, Xiled Gaming will never be shut down; it will always be growing in every way possible. It will completely dominate gaming and revolutionize the way people game. And as Xiled Gaming does this and I wrap this up, all I have left to say is, “GAME ON!”

2ND PLACE - XILED GAMING PAST, PRESENT, NOW

2nd Place - Xiled Gaming Past, Present, Now

Xiled Gaming
Past, Present, Now
By Arbitor Andrew

So let me begin by say that Xiled Gaming community has been more then I have expected. All of the people are cool and are help full when needed. Xiled Gaming is about taking over the world. I’m just kidding. But on a real note Xiled gaming is about meeting new people and making X.G. the biggest gaming community ever. I have only been in KOG for about a month and I didn’t expect that I would get to up in the ranks much but I have I’m am lieutenant in KOG Xiled Kings. The clan I’m in (in my opinion) is the best out there. With KOG Outlaw commanding Xiled Kings there is no way that the clan will fall to anyone short of The Council of Leaders. They may be the only people that could bring use down. This will not happen because we up hold the Honor Code to the letter.

You ask me what aspect of Xiled Gaming I favorite the most. To tell the truth there is nothing I can exclude with out regretting it. From the forums to the helpful advise from the X.G. community, to the arcade, to the v-bookie. (Even though it not up let). But if I had to say what is my favorite it would have to be the pod cast. You guys and girls are so cool to listen to. I hope that you guys and girls keep on going on with. The things that the people have stated on the web site are truly the most brilliant mind around. Who would think about stating Six sections, and then have those sections create clans base on there honesty. That takes a lot of doing.

My experience in X.G. has been the best clan I have been in ever since I started playing on XBOX LIVE. I love it to death!!!! There is no other clan I would rather be in then KOG. All of the members or X.G. have been nice to me in the own way, by helping me find my clan forums and countless other stuff that I’m great full for. The Overload of my clan, Xiled Kings, KOG Overload, has been the most helpful to me. He’s helped me solve problems with other members of my clan that I couldn’t take care of by myself. He’s he coolest person I have meet so far. Also KOG Kickass has helped me also with the same problems. He is also a big help in Xiled Kings. Also I have meet with another cool KOG member. His name is KOG Firelord I meet him on 1/24/07 during a planed practice for my squad, Sage Squad. He thought us how to BXR, for those who did not know how to do it. We then had a little tournament to see who the best was. x Stunt Man x(who got kicked out of are clan on 1/25/07) came out on top. We then went and had a little 6 v 6 MLG action. I was on the red team which was made up of Golden Trigun (in clan KOG Pandora) aguie doggy (who is not in are clan does not wish to join) airmike14 (in clan KOG Pandora) ty112 (in clan KOG Pandora) and KOG v PaRaGon. We did not win this match against the blue team which was made up of KOG Firelord (in KOG Pandora) x Stuntman x (who is not in are clan anymore) Sygear (KOG Pandora) Skulllhunter009 (in KOG Xiled Kings) hobo sapiens (also in KOG Xiled KINGS) and Sooginz187xxx (in KOG Xiled Kings). It was a close match. 43to50.

Now you ask me where X.G. should go.
  • For starters, we need to have more contests like these in the near future.
  • Another is that we should have weekly or monthly Clan tournaments. They could only be one problem with this is that is people could get left out. Which I truly think could not happen because the Overloads would not allow it.
  • Another idea is that need new games to play. The games we have now are fun but we need more of a selection.
  • There is a way that I would like to see X.G. go, it is that we interact with the other clans, such as KSI and MOB have them become are friend rather then are enemy.
  • Yet another idea is that we also interact with the people at Bungie. You never know when it could pay off.
  • Lastly, we should find a way to get more people to join X.G. like people from other games like Gears Of War or (the up and coming) Crackdown. This we could recruit more people then just trying to get people from Halo 2.

Ok then, now you say you will be “grading” “my report” on Originality, well here are two songs I made just for this essay.

The KOG Life
I’m a gamer a straight up KOG
The KOG life is the life for me
Capon flags by day
Drop bombs at night
I don’t like Outlaw you shouldn’t to
And don’t get me started on Kickass too
People be hating on my clan you see
That’s why I snipe them from a tree
We get headshots and sticks cuz dat wat we use
And please don’t try to verbal abuse

Ok that’s was one song another is

KOG
Aye I from KOG
You Know we repin are 1, 2, and 3
We be da Kings of games
Cuz we aint lame
We are KOG
We straight up “G’s”
Wit Outlaw at the top of are clan
If sucker hate him they get slammed
Wit Kickass as his right hand man
All da losers get thrown out da clan
So you see we be KOG, the Xiled Kings
We’re da best cuz dat wat we bring

Ok this is the end of you my essay. I hope that you will choose my essay. Thanks for you time. Have a good day.

3RD PLACE - AN OLDER GAMERS JOURNEY IN XG

3rd Place - An older gamers journey in XG

An older gamers journey in XG
Communication is the key to success
By XGC Hylander XL

For those that don’t know, I am 37! For a gamer that is pretty much like being 100 years old in real life. I first started playing Halo on XBL in 2004. I stuck to Skirmish games based on the idea of not having to face slayer gamers who I figured would just kill the crap out of me. On my own I played something like 980 skirmish games and got up to a level 24. Ok, 24 is not all that great but, this was the early times of XBL and I wasn’t on a team with the same people every time I played. That changed sometime in February of 2005. I met up with a guy named BigBeso. We played some games together along with some of his other friends and things went really well. At some point I got my level up to 28 and I was on my way! Well, kind of. I was still a Halo Nub as I had no idea what a super jump was or much of anything else for that matter. And, Clan? I figured that was surely some type of occult pro group which I never would fit into. Well, I was asked by my new friend BigBeso to check out this thing called XGC. Seems they had a honorcode which all members followed. The first thing I read was – 18 years or older to join. Cool, no more screaming kids. Then there was the rest of the honorcode which spelled out an elaborate plan of organization and professional style gamers. Seemed just my speed beings I hated all the nonsense you got from playing with mostly ignorant rude angry unsupervised teens and immature college age people. So, I took the plunge into XGC land about the end of March 2005 and started out with XGC GOOD GAME. It wasn’t but about a couple days when I meet up with this dude named, KillerTomato. Now, let me tell you all about this guy, ok, I will spare him the pain and just say, he is a very cool dude and in all a good person even if he is from Canada. Between him and Beso I learned a lot about the world of gaming and being part of a clan. Before I knew it I was promoted up to Captain. WOW! What was I getting myself into?

When I accepted this promotion I felt honored to be in XGC and this was when I became committed to being a part of it’s future. With that promotion came some things which I have to tell you, where pretty not so fun. I mean, as the Captain of a clan that had 90 people in it things tend to get a bit crazy. Not that I did not have help as I did. I mean, there was this other great guy named MajorBongMaster or as we all know him today as XGC Element. This guy, man, he was truly a loud obnoxious pain in the butt as a person. However, as a Captain in a clan he did a good job and I think we worked very well together. I was a boring quiet no nonsense leader and he was a loud in your face no nonsense leader. No Nonsense or as we said and still say NO DRAMA. I believe it was our extreme personalities that made things work as well as they did. Over time we communicated both on XBL and via emails which helped us both grow as people and gamers. Communication is the key to success!

At some point he and I both were to be promoted to General. For whatever reason, I got promoted up first. Having already studied the information from our website about how to run a clan, rank structure and everything else there was to read, I began to implement the things I felt were best for the community and best for the clan. My Section Leader the self proclaimed greatest general ever – XGC USA XL offered up some good tips on how to run a clan which I found to be helpful while trying to mold the clan into what I thought was suppose to be the proper way to have a clan setup and run. The first step of that was taking 95 people and unifying them with the same colors and putting them into squads. It was a fairly large operation but in about 3 to 5 days we got most everyone changed over into the same colors and symbols and had the basic structure of squads in place. To me the time I was a Captain and General in Good Game up till when we split again things were awesome. We had a lot of active members who played with each other and for the most part just got along and had FUN. I had already saw what a split can do to a clan as we had one happen and then some transfers but now it was time to do a new one. This was BigBeso’s new clan XGC Supremacy. A very weird twist of fate had me take over that clan with one half of the core group of people which came up under me and XGC Element in Good Game. In reality these were probably the older more mature people in the clan and people which I spent the most time with. I used the info laid out on the website and built what I thought was a well organized clan based on the Core Values of XGC. The recruiting process was very hardcore and no one got in without being voted on and being a quality person./gamer. The chain of command was followed at all times and rarely did anyone have any DRAMA going on. In a short period of time, we got approx 68 members in the clan with 6 squads. It was at this point I believe this clan was truly one of the best if not the best overall clan in XGC. I say that because it was setup with the proper structure of 1 captain, 1 lt and 8 other members per squad, everyone was communicating on XBL and the forums and It had 95% of it’s members online and active in the clan daily. This included the Sunday meetings where 40 plus people would be online in parties with each other in the clan. These people loved being online together and being part of XGC. This is when I realized just what XGC was. It was not a clan, it was a community. For so long we kept saying join XGC we are a great clan but from then on I whenever I talked about XGC I spoke of XGC for what it was and is an online gaming Community which our clans were part of. This included our other divisions KoG and SYN.

As a side note, for those that do not know, my 6 year old Son is in KoG. He was first In KOG Darkages which I helped build with the many recruits I sent over to them and he is know a captain in KoG Hellhouse. His tag is KoG KONG. He knows way more about the game and the Halo world then I and most adults do and if you ever want to know what it is like to get BXR’d but a 6 year old, he will be happy to show you!

Now back to this community thing. At some point Beso made it back and we promoted up another General in Supremacy, XGC CYCLOPS who took over and did an awesome job. It was then that I was just in a hang out state beings both clans now had other capable generals in them. Then out of nowhere, it happened. It being – Vendetta!! Man, what was I thinking when I said yes to taking that bunch of people on. Ok, I am just kidding so no hate mail! Vendetta was a bit rough around the edges but had good people in it. They just needed a little direction and training. Some of them had been around a while so as most older folks get, they were stuck in their ways and figured they knew better then this new guy coming over to their clan. It took some tweaking but in about 4 weeks we got things going along very well. It has been I think 5 months and without a doubt my time in Vendetta has been an eye opening experience. I have learned a lot from many people in that clan and to list all their names would take up another page so everyone that has been part of Vendetta (insert your name here). With Supremacy and Vendetta growing as they were we were able to split off two new clans, Ascended and Integrity. Currently there are generals in all of those clans that I consider to be friends even if this is just an online game and we have never met. There are many others I have the same thing to say about them with the exception of say this guy that changes his names like some people change their underwear, (Pure, Perf, Ice, Back, Icicle, Ice again and maybe even Snowman? Or this other guy, Thor, well never mind about that guy. In all I have been very happy to get to know all everyone there. I mean who doesn’t like to have XGC NEWB1 drive you around in a warthog or have XGC Spinz deliver one of his gift packs or other great one liners. XGC Shrpshooter? Umm well, he is more quiet then anyone I have ever known. It is a very good quiet though as he is doing a super job as General. Ok, so I did mention a few names. Those I did not, just insert your name above as I said and stop whining.

Now, there are several reasons I took the time to go over my journey in XGC. To me it shows just what XGC is about and that is, COMMUNITY. Networking with other gamers who play the games we like in a professional respectful manner as well as having FUN doing it. It would have been faster an easier for me to have just said XG is about being in a online gaming community that people respect each other and my favorite aspect is being able to network with others that agree with my philosophy of playing games online. Did that make any sense? It is never cool to log into a game you like playing and the first thing you hear is, YOU SUCK or lots of other more offensive stuff. I mean, so what if I suck. Just freaking play the game and find out if that’s true or not. And, let me tell you, if by chance I don’t suck and you lose, you had better learn not to embarrass yourself as it is so not cool to trash talk after you get owned. Just shut up and play the game already!

More people need to realize that it is a privilege to be in XG not a right. It is a FREE online gaming community that is not biased against any other community or people. Sure we have some folks that stir up things with others but they do not represent XG as a whole. As for these other communities, well, we may not be welcome there, but, they are welcome here. Just check out our website, www.xiledgaming.com. We have forums for just about every possible gaming group out there. That is because we are a true online gaming community. Not just a clan out to cause hate against other gamers. We are about networking with other gamers and forming a community of good people that play the game and have FUN! Rock on Xiled Gaming.

4TH PLACE - HONOR AND RESPECT: THE CONTENTS OF XILED GAMING

4th Place - Honor and Respect: The Contents of Xiled Gaming

Honor and Respect:
The Contents of Xiled Gaming
By I SIX I

The Xiled Gaming community is the culmination of online gaming. Xiled Gaming had become the best of the best in the online world because of its ingenious organization method, integration of an honor code, and cross title gaming. Xiled Gaming, in combination with the previous mentioned items, has something to offer for everyone. Personally, I have found that Xiled Gaming offers something new to me and has expanded the life of Halo 2 online for me, and I'm sure Xiled Gaming has done the same for many others.

The unique organization offers by Xiled Gaming helps keep a level of order not found in many clans. First off they are separated into four distinct branches; Xiled Gaming Co, an eighteen and older clan; Kings of Gaming, a clan open to all ages; Syndicate, the only clan that allows trash talking; and Xiled Gamer Girlz, the all girl section of Xiled Gaming. Now this initial separation of different groups allow for people of various gaming styles easier access to others of their ilk. However, this alone would not support the infrastructure of the clans themselves, which is why the special ranking system was put in place. The ranking system goes beyond the simple peon, member, staff, overlord; it uses military naming of ranks such as recruit, private, sergeant, lieutenant, captain, general, section leader, division leader, and the council. These ranks all have their own responsibilities that when done correctly make a very tight and organized clan.

Everyone starts out as a recruit, the simplest of ranks purely because there is really no responsibility. All a recruit must do is get to know the clan and discover whether or not Xiled Gaming is the place for them, or if perhaps another branch of Xiled Gaming is more suited to their style or playing. Once one finds the clan for them and have been a recruit for a minimum of five days, they gain the privilege to become a private. This means they are considered a true member of the clan and are assigned to a squad. The rank of private comes with a few responsibilities that form the fundamental base of a Xiled Gaming member, they must know the honor code, sign up on the website, and just be active in the clan itself. The rank above private is sergeant. This is the first rank where I feel dedication is needed to do the job correctly, for the sergeant must keep a list of all the members in their squad. The sergeant is also responsible for learning some game strategies and utilizing them in clan matches to achieve a victory for the clan. Those are the more easy going ranks in the Xiled Gaming clans, the ones that don't require much more than participation. The ranks after sergeant, however, require someone dedicated to the clan and Xiled Gaming as a whole.

Following sergeant in the climb up the tower of power is lieutenant. The lieutenant is the captains right hand man, they are responsible for upholding the honor code and making sure it is firmly in place in every game their clan participated in. Also because of their close tie to the captain, they are able to host a clan meeting in the captain's stead if necessary. This brings me to the next rank, captain. Captains are one of the most crucial parts to the formation of the clan; they keep a close eye on everyone under their command, and make sure the rules are followed and issues are addressed. A good captain shows great leadership and helps fix problems quickly before they get out of control. For the most part a captain is the main source of leadership to a private because of the closer connection of captain to private than general to private. Recruitment is one of the powers a captain wields because as a safety precaution only the rank of captain or higher has the privileges to add members to the clan. This great feature makes it much more difficult for clan hitters to attack any Xiled Gaming can, though it does still happen time to time. Next in line are the generals, the support beams for the clan. They are those who show great dedication and leadership. After displaying such things they are granted control of a Xiled Gaming clan. The general must watch over all the squads under their control as well as address any problems passed up the chain of command. The general also has an obligation to choose the captains in their clan and train them to be fair leaders, and to one day replace themselves if they seek a higher rank in Xiled Gaming. As one climbs higher and higher in the ranks, the top becomes closer, and the responsibilities grow heavier.

A section leader is a rank saved for the most dedicated, they watch over several clans and all squads within. One is required to make them self available to generals on a regular basis, to provide council on how to handle issues within the clan. This means they must constantly be switching from one clan to another to keep a vigilant eye out for any breaches of the honor code or and form of disrespect within the Xiled Gaming community. The section leaders then report to division leaders, these are the ones who work closely with the council to make the tough decisions that will affect Xiled Gaming as a whole. Division leaders are also granted the ability to authorize a new squad within a clan should they deem it necessary and good for the clan. Finally above all other ranks is the council. These are the founding members of Xiled Gaming who broke away form KSI to start a more mature gaming community. They operate in a democratic structure and vote on issues for the best of Xiled Gaming.

All of that said it is easy to see how through the dedication of the higher ranking members why Xiled Gaming is so unified and steady. The ranking structure left no room for error and has worked very well, as the Xiled Gaming grows more and more every day. There is more to this community than just a great ranking structure and overall organization though.

Currently I am a lieutenant in XGC Backfire (hoping for the promotion to captain someday) and my experience in my time here has been great. I have very easy access to my captain, so that should any issues arise they are resolved swiftly. Also I've found that my general is on often as well making it even easier to get my questions of the questions of my peers answered. This sort of activity is something I've never had in a clan prior to this, and let me tell you it is very comforting knowing that whenever I log on there will be people to play with. Besides the activity of members another thing that impressed me was the network of cross clan communication. My section leader held a meeting a while back that had members of the various squads he controlled present. This allowed everyone to add some members of other clans to their friend lists, so that clan matches could be played anytime we wished to play them. That in combination with XGL, which my clan is just starting to get organized for, offers many intense and fun matches to be played.

A final not on my experience in XGC would have to be my gratitude for the honor code. This adds a much more mature feel to any game played with Xiled Gaming members because it always makes everyone rise above stupid trash talk and complaining, and just say "good game". The fact that you must be eighteen and older to be in XGC is another thing I enjoy because it weeds out any immature people , for the most part, to make the game that much more enjoyable.

I must say the future of XGC looks bright; thought there will always be people trying to bring us down, we will never submit ourselves to their level because we always hold out heads high with honor. We recognize that this is only a game, and that it is not worth getting so caught up in it that you become angry. That would go against everything a game is for, it's to have fun! As long as Xiled Gaming promotes this good attitude, I firmly believe that we will continue to grow as a community across every online game and platform there is spreading the greatest gaming community the world has ever seen.

Xiled Gaming Community
(Entity or Family)
By Kimmler

A family can be described as two or more people who share goals and values, have long-term commitments to one another, and reside usually in the same dwelling place. With my past experiences, I haven’t seen a much better use of that word. I have been apart of the Xiled Gaming Community for about 8 months now, and have loved every moment of it. On “XBL” this community is seen as a role model for other such communities such as “LxH”, “MOB”, and “SxR”. This can be seen when one looks at aspects such as: what the community is all about, the actual commingled system of a democracy while holding a hierarchy, and personal experiences within the community itself. I know for a fact many dedicated members fell the same way as I do, and would agree with me when I say that “XGC” is the best thing to happen to Xbox Live and me. I felt myself obliged to write how I feel recognition, or not, to show how grateful I am to being apart of this excellent community. As I go on throughout how I feel “XGC” works and my past experiences, I would hope that one would take the time to think about how they actually feel about a group of people who can actually stay together for this long.

When I first joined the Xiled Gaming Community back in the summer of two thousand and six, I was a bit skeptical of this whole “gaming community”. Though as the weeks passed and I became closer to clan mates as well as other members of other clans, also associated to “XG” I started thinking about how great of an idea it was. Seven people from another community called “KSI” founded this community because; they felt that they could do a better job. They ran their clans using a list of base rules that promoted such things as: fair play, respect, and most of all keeping a fun environment on “XBL”. They started to grow rapidly gaining many members, having to branch out, opening up an all ages sector called “KOG” or Kings of Gaming. These clans were run and used for mostly the younger players in “XG”. With this sector becoming a great success, the “council” decided to start a new sector for those “hardcore” and trash talking gamers better known as “The Syndicate”. With “KOG” and “SYN” slowly getting bigger, and more and more members joining everyday, “XG” seemed to be becoming one of the largest gaming communities on “XBL”. “XG” is all about promoting a fun and interesting place for people to come to play on Xbox, while keeping a warm laid back feeling making all players feel welcome whenever they come online. This atmosphere is created when all the members treat each other with respect, as well as follow the rules set by the founders of “XG”.

I personally have had an awesome experience with all aspects of “XG”. Having been in all sectors and finally residing in the always recognizable; eighteen plus, “XGC” I’ve not yet come into contact with a person I could not get along with, or reason to find a common ground. Having been in this community for quite a long time and watching it grow and expand into other consoles and systems, as well as my favorite sport paintball, gives me hope that “XG” actually might be doing something right, by providing an awesome gaming atmosphere catering to all ages. I through past experiences think that one may have a problem when attempting to move up in the “ranks” of this society. I only say this because within the eight months that I have been a part of “XG” I have not moved higher than a general in any branch. Not to say I have a problem with this because honestly, I love to help out the new members and build up new clans. I only stated this because it could be found as a downside to the actual democratic way this community is run; for one can be “blackballed” and would never have the same opportunity to progress higher than a captains position. This for one thing is not a bash against “XG” or any of its founders, but as you can see everything has an upside and downside. The upside of having this democracy is that anyone who shows activity, drive, leadership, and the actual desire to move up in the ranks has an equal chance. I honestly, have made so many friends while being in “XG” that I would have to say that it is actually my favorite thing about “XBL”.

Since everything has a past, therefore it should have a future. The Xiled Gaming Community has come a long way since the six founding members started, growing steadily daily now holding an excess of ten thousand gamers. Being one of the biggest communities on Xbox Live “XG” is a much like a show horse for all other up and coming communities to model off of. Most people will note that since “XG” is growing so steadily it wont be going anywhere, anytime soon. It recently opened a new growing sector called “XGG” better known as Xiled Gaming Girls. This is “XG’s”, first sector devoted solely to those girls who just plain love to game. As for future prospects for XGC, one could see them coming up in the ranks along the lines of “pro gaming” in the MLG circuit. I also believe that “XG” will soon totally branch out into all systems taking over much more than mainly “XBL” and the Halo 2 community. Xiled Gaming recently also started to take over the airwaves releasing their first ever podcast, so you can expect to see more of that. As for anything else, who knows? Anything can happen, so lets all keep the community going and show our respect, to the great six founders of this awesome community, which I can easily call my second family.

What I believe Xiled Gaming is About

Xiled Gaming is about a way to game with a new aspect to it. It’s a way to better yourself as a person and in your skill in gaming. It helps you learn leadership skills and also helps you get better at the game because of all the people you meet have tips and secrets to help you play and win. It is an online gaming community that is also like a family. It helps you with communication skills, organization skills, leadership skills, and some creativity. But XG also goes into many games other than just Halo 2. Halo 2 may be the prime game that it is dealt with, but we encourage you to play other games because we don’t like to make one game a job for you. The way we like it is if you are respectful and mature. Xiled Gaming does not want anybody who disrespects gamers in any way because it shows that not only you are disrespectful but possibly all of XG. We are a friendly community made to better suit a gamer. It also gives you another reason than just to go online and play games. It’s sort of a game within a game. Example: I was recruited, the more I worked at it I got promoted to a higher rank, the more I work at it the higher I go and the more respect you will get. Once you make it to the top you are known throughout the community as a responsible, mature gamer who knows how to run the clan and is able to give any help to anyone who needs it. If there was a problem, we may be able to fix it or at least help. But even though we don’t want trash talkers in our clan, we do have a division where you are allowed to do that kind of stuff, but they still show a level of maturity that we like to see.

Xiled Gaming to me is like what I said above, a gaming community to not only help you in your skill at the game but also helps in other aspects of reality. The reason I got into it is because I had gotten tired of Halo 2 because I have had it for so long, but I had a friend who just so happened to be in an online organized clan and I said “sure I would like to join, because I was just getting bored of Halo.” After that I had gotten to like it so much I thought to myself: This is probably my favorite part of xbox live now. I started as a recruit just like so many before and after me and I got better and better in doing this, it was something can get really good at and never get bored. I am now a general of one of the first clans ever made in XGC and I get lots of respect because of my level of leadership an responsibility. I must admit that there are some instances that I didn’t like XG, but they were so little that I got over them. To me, were all about the game, but we also make lots of friends. I have never met so many people in one time in my life and it feels good to be apart of something so large of a scale with thousands of people also apart of it.

My favorite aspect of Xiled Gaming is that no one is allowed to cheat. It makes it so that you know that there are so many people who don’t cheat just to get a higher level in the game. I also like how I can rank up, not just in the game, but in the community. It makes me a more respectable person in the community, more well known, and more reliable for anyone who may need help, that I would most likely be able to help that person out. It is a good feeling when there is a problem and you just so happen to know how to solve the problem. To be able to get the “Thank you” from the person. Like I said, cheating is nothing but the easy way out of a not so difficult task. So Xiled Gaming is the perfect way to get involved in something that shares the same interest that you do.

My experiences have been for the most part pretty good. But there is always drama in something so large. And it is for this drama that hasn’t made my experiences great. But I try not to sweat so much, because the fact is that most of the drama that goes on around me is such a small deal that it really shouldn’t have happened in the first place. And as far as I know, the only drama that I have had to deal with in my clan is basically one or two cheaters that shouldn’t have been there, and that’s about it. I have seen so many people that were great, responsible, and mature, but they just got mad at a simple reason and they left for greener pastures in their mind. To be totally honest, there is not one thing that would make me leave XG. The only reason that I may ever leave is if I somehow got caught for cheating which will never happen because I don’t know how to bridge for host, or know how to team standby, and I especially don’t know how to mod.

I think the future of Xiled Gaming is a promising future, and we are just going to grow and grow. The bigger we get, the more people of maturity we are looking for have a chance to experience what I have. I’m going o be meeting more and more new people everyday and that is cool because we are all about sociality and communication. The more new games come out, more people to find. The fact that we go throughout basically all of the online games shows that we are not just into one type of thing but have other preferences, and allows us to never get bored of what is happening. And that is what I believe Xiled Gaming is about, that we are a community based on communication, game play, and respect toward fellow online gamers throughout the world. And you can always look forward to playing us because we will always show respect.

Congrats guess! Those were some awsome essays. I read each one and each one I read made a point, and even joked around a little bit. I saw people puting some of themselves, literaly and metaphorically, and I found that a nice touch. Once again, Congratulations and great job!
