Requirements for Promotion
1.Every job title comes with responsibilities and time commitments; promotions are on a voluntary basis.
2.By accepting a promotion you are making a commitment to all XGC AND KOG Members to be available to handle day-to-day operations and any problems that may arise in a fair, mature, and professional manner.
3.Must treat all XGC AND KOG members with RESPECT, above and below their current job title.
4.Keep in mind you may not be ready for the promotion that you want, if this is the case you will be provided with constructive criticism to help you improve on problem areas.
Recruit
1.This position is for all new members of XGC AND KOG, the required icon and color for this rank is steel on steel, no icon, the recruit must remain this way for a minimum of seven (7) days, after the 7th day, the General(s) and Captain(s) of the clan must evaluate the recruit on several factors; type of gamer, development of relationship with the other members of the clan, ability to follow the honor code, and overall opinion. Once these factors have been reviewed, the leaders of the clan will vote on whether or not the recruit is ready to become a full member of the clan and can be promoted to the rank of Private.
Private
1.Must spend at least 1 week as a recruit to familiarize yourself with XGC AND KOG and what we are about, also this gives the recruit a chance to decide if XGC AND KOG is a good fit for them and how they game.
2.After the 1-week period the recruit should be voted into the clan by the captains and generals of that clan.
3.Must be 18 years of age or older (XGC ONLY, KoG has no age restrcitions)
4.The first responsibility of a private is to register on http://www.XiledGaming.com and http://www.xgclive.com
5.A Private can be classified as a new member to XGC. Responsibilities of a Private include knowing the Honor Code, meeting other XGC members, and participating in clan matches. Your time as a Private is geared towards letting you get familiar with the XGC community and the profession al manner in which we play. After a private is fully integrated into the XGC gaming community they may make an XGC gamer tag after receiving approval from a section leader.
Sergeant or Lieutenant
1.A Private is eligible to be promoted to Sergeant or Lieutenant at any time after being accepted into XGC AND KOG.
2.Typically a Captain or higher will submit a members name for promotion at the clans weekly meeting, the promotion will then be voted on by the Captains and Generals in that clan.
3.A Sergeant is a XGC gamer who has earned the privilege of getting a XGC gamer tag. As a Sergeant, leaders will be depending on you to learn game strategies and train with others in order to better prepare for clan matches. You will be expected to be an example to the Privates and recruits below you and to help them when ever possible.
4.A Lieutenant is the captain's right hand and the first line of defense in upholding the Honor Code. You will be responsible for assisting the captain in setting up meetings and practices, training lower ranking members, and finding potential recruits. They can also run Practices and meetings when a Captain is not a present.
Captain
1.Must hold a Private, Sergeant, or lieutenant position for at least 1 month.
2.Typically a Captain or General will submit a members name for promotion at the clans weekly meeting; the promotion will then be voted on by the Captains and Generals in that clan.
3.A good captain must posses the following qualities, leadership, the ability to positively reinforce the XGC infrastructure, sound decision making and dedication. As a Captain, you will need to evaluate all new recruits, vote on them, run practices and play clan matches. Captains are responsible for promoting a Lieutenant to assist them.
4.The Captain Also keeps track of squad records and lists. Captains will set up squad meetings and ensure that the communication in the squad is perfect. This includes messaging the squad on clan match results and meeting times. You must also ensure that all members follow the honor code, register on the web site, and behave in a profession al manner. You will report any infraction s directly to your General, following the chain of command. The ranking structure is there for a reason; do not take minor problems to Section leaders or Division Leaders.
5.A Captain becomes eligible for a promotion by displaying the above qualities and excelling in all their job responsibilities. As always good communication is the key to success.
General
1.Must hold a Captains position for at least 1 month.
2.Typically a General or Section Leader will submit a members name for promotion at the weekly Section Leader meeting, the promotion will then be voted on by the Section Leaders and Division Leaders.
3.Generals are the backbone of XGC and should be respected by all XGC members. This position of General is a very important position with many responsibilities.
4.A General is responsible for running many XGC squads, overseeing all aspects of their squads, as well as helping others when needed. As a General you must promote Captains to assist you in running the squads.
5.Additionally Generals will be responsible for updating their members’ list and ensuring that all members have read and are playing by the Honor Code. Generals are expected to meet with their squads weekly to discuss squad issues and the latest XGC news. They work closely with their Captains and Section Leaders to create an enjoyable gaming experience for all.
6.A General will take charge for a Section Leader and is responsible for taking care of minor matters at such times. The General is expected to report major infraction s directly to their Section Leader or Division Leader.
7.Generals are required to ensure their squad lists are submitted once a month.
8.A General becomes eligible for a promotion by running large and successful squads that represent what XGC stands for. Following the chain of command is upheld and outlined by the General. As always good communication is the key to success.
Section Leader
1.Must hold a Generals position for at least 2 months.
2.Typically a Section Leader or Division Leader will submit a members name for promotion at the weekly Section Leader / Division Leader meeting, the promotion will then be voted on by the Division Leaders and Council.
3.The Section Leader position comes with many responsibilities, such as being directly responsible for running all of XGC's squads successfully. By accepting the rank of Section Leader you are making a commitment to be a fair/ responsible leader and accessible to all General. This includes making yourself available several times a week to solve problems, hold meetings and hearing new ideas.
4.Section Leaders work closely with their Generals to ensure that all members are playing in a profession al manner that represents XGC. You will be responsible for ensuring that all Generals turn their squad lists in on time. The Section Leader is also required to keep discipline within the squads and report any infraction s directly to their Division Leaders.
5.Section Leaders are required to move their gamer tags weekly to other XGC squads. Section Leaders do this to ensure all squads are running and playing in a profession al "XGC" manner. Section Leaders "run" XGC and are the most important leader.
6.A Section Leader is eligible for a promotion after finding a replacement, running/ maintaining all squads successfully, that represent what XGC stands for. Also they must display sound judgment and decision making in all aspects of their online gaming.
As always good communication is the key to success.
Division Leader
1.Must hold a Section Leader position for at least 4 months.
2.Typically a Division Leader or Council Member will submit a members name for promotion at the weekly Division Leader / Council meeting, the promotion will then be voted on by the Division Leaders and Council.
3.Must treat all Xiled Gaming members with RESPECT, above and below their current job title
4.Division Leaders oversee and coordinate the Section Leaders. As a Division Leader you will be working closely with the Council Members to make decisions that affect the squads of XGC as a whole.
5.Division Leaders are responsible for all squads and all aspects of those squads. They must work closely with the Section Leaders to oversee all activity within their squads, and to ensure that all members are playing in a profession al manner that represents XGC.
6.Communication and decision-making are the two most important qualities of a Division Leader. Often you will be pulled in many different directions so it is imperative that you exercise good judgment and patience.
7.A Division Leader will deal with many stressful situations and must be fair but firm, and represent the best that XGC has to offer. Division Leaders should keep an open line of communication with his or her Section Leaders and hold frequent meetings to communicate direction.
8.Division Leaders also have the ability to approve new squads with notice to the council. As always good communication is the key to success.
