RECRUIT
A new Recruit is a gamer who has been invited to play with and get to know the XG gaming community. This period of time is to enable the gamer to decide if XG is the right online gaming community for them. After this period of time, the Recruit will be voted on by their peers and asked to join XG as a Private in a squad of a clan.
PRIVATE
The first responsibility of a Private is to register at www.XILEDGAMING.com. A Private can be classified as a new member to XG. Responsibilities of a Private include knowing the Honor Code, meeting other XG members, and participating in clan matches. Your time spent as a Private is geared towards getting familiar with the XG community and the professional manner in which we play.
Private’s Responsibilities:
- Register at www.XILEDGAMING.com. This must be done in a timely manner or his/her position in the squad will be terminated.
- Learn, understand, and follow the Honor Code.
- Learn, understand, and follow the rank structure and chain of command.
- Participate in clan and squad activities as well as game with their squad.
- Attend clan and squad meetings.
SERGEANT
A Sergeant is a XG gamer who has earned the privilege of getting a XG gamer tag once approved by his/her Section Leader. As a Sergeant, leaders will be depending on you to learn game strategies and train with others in order to better prepare for clan or squad matches. A Sergeant is expected to set an example by being a role model for the Privates and Recruits below you and to help them whenever possible. A Sergeant serves as an ambassador and is responsible for getting privates and recruits acclimated to XG. Once a XG gamer reaches the rank of Sergeant they can never be demoted or moved to a lower rank in the community. A Sergeant is the official "member" rank in XG.
Sergeant’s Responsibilities:
- Follow the Honor Code.
- Follow the chain of command.
- Set an example by being a role model for the Privates and Recruits and help them whenever possible.
- Work closely with Lieutenants and Captains to learn new game strategies, attend practices, and train others in his/her squad.
- Attend game nights and special events in the clan as well as ones put on by the community.
- Attend clan and squad meetings.
LIEUTENANT
A Lieutenant is the Captain’s right hand and the first line of defense in upholding the Honor Code. As a Lieutenant, you will be responsible for assisting the Captain in setting up meetings and practices, training lower ranking members, and finding potential recruits. The Lieutenant can also run practices and meetings when his/her Captain is not present.
Lieutenants Responsibilities:
- Be a dedicated and an active member in the squad.
- Follow and enforce the Honor Code.
- Assist the Captain in setting up meetings and practices, training lower ranking members, and screening potential recruits.
- Take charge of meetings or practices if the Captain is not present.
- Attend clan and squad meetings.
- Ensure no member is left behind! (This means anyone recruited is involved with and plays with clan members)
CAPTAIN
A good Captain must possess the following qualities: leadership, the ability to positively reinforce the XG infrastructure, sound decision making, and dedication. As a Captain, you will need to evaluate all new recruits and vote on them, run practices and play squad/clan matches. The Captain is responsible for promoting his/her own Lieutenant to assist himself/herself. Also the Captain keeps track of squad records and lists by posting the squad list in the clan’s forum by the 1st and 15th of the month. This includes messaging the squad on squad/clan match results and meeting times. He/she must also ensure that all members follow the honor code, register on the web site, and behave in a professional manner. The Captain will report any infractions directly to his/her General, following the chain of command. The rank structure is there for a reason therefore do not take minor problems to Section Leaders or Division Leaders. A Captain becomes eligible for a promotion by displaying the above qualities and excelling in all his/her job responsibilities. As always, good communication is the key to success.
Captains Responsibilities:
- Know, understand, and be able to teach all the responsibilities of the lower ranks.
- Act in a professional manner at all times.
- Ensure members are following the Honor Code and have registered at www.XILEDGAMING.com.
- Be active online in the game and on the forums.
- Show dedication and commitment while assisting his/her General run a successful clan.
- Run weekly meetings and squad practices as well as having a “Game Night” for your squad/clan.
- Ensure members are in a squad with people that play the same game(s), if not transfer them to another Captain’s squad or possibly another clan with your generals approval.
- Evaluate and vote on new recruits.
- Register on www.pwnzone.com, make challenges, and play in squad/clan matches.
- Train your Lieutenant as your replacement.
- Follow the chain of command and take issues to your General not higher ranks.
- Post squad list in the clan’s forum using one the squad list prefixes with a color that represents the squad by the 1st and the 15th of the month.
- Ensure no member is left behind! (This means knowing and playing with all members in your squad and the clan. Ensuring everyone in the clan/squad is on each other's friends list)
GENERAL
Generals are the backbone of XG and should be respected by all XG members. As a General, he/she is a role model for the Captains and all the members of his/her clan. A General is responsible for running one XG clan, overseeing all aspects of his/her clan, as well as helping other clans when needed. As a General, you must promote Captains to assist you in running the clan. Additionally General will be responsible for updating his/her clan list and encouraging all members to utilize the clan’s forum. The General must ensure that all members have read and are playing by the Honor Code. In addition, the General is expected to make sure all clan members are familiar with the rank structure and know who the leaders are in the community. Generals are also expected to meet with his/her clan weekly to discuss clan issues and vote on promotions within the clan. Generals must ensure that Captains are registering on www.pwnzone.com and are playing clan matches with other online clans and also XG clans. The General works closely with his/her Captains and Section Leader to create an enjoyable gaming experience for all. A General is responsible for taking care of minor matters within the clan. The General is expected to report major infractions directly to his/her Section Leader or Division Leader. A General becomes eligible for a promotion by running a successful clan that represents what XG stands for. A General must display sound judgment and decision making in all aspects of his/her online interaction. As always, good communication is the key to success.
Generals Responsibilities:
- Know, understand, and be able to teach all the responsibilities of the lower ranks.
- Run and oversee all aspects of one clan.
- Help other Generals when needed.
- Maintain a clan list at all times.
- Ensure all Captains update their squad list by the 1st and the 15th.
- Update your clan/members list on the forums on the 1st and 15th of every month using the prefix clan list.
- Hold weekly meetings with Captains and Lieutenants to discuss squad issues and pass on the latest information and community news.
- Attend the MANDATORY meeting every Sunday or notify his/her Section Leader if they cannot attend.
- Work closely with his/her Captains and Section Leader to create an enjoyable gaming experience for all members in the XG community.
- Generals MUST meet with their captains weekly to discuss squads and the clan.
- Handle issues in his/her squads with the Captains and take only major infractions to the Section Leader.
- Communicate on console/game and on the forums by spamming messages that are passed down from the XG leaders.
- Make sure all Captains are registered on www.pwnzone.com, making challenges, and playing in squad/clan matches.
- Ensure all members know the rank structure and who the leaders are in the community.
- Request XGC gamer tags from Section Leader for approval.
- Ensure the Captain and squad is playing together in similar games and/or game types, if not transfer the member(s) to another Captain’s squad or possibly another clan.
- Ensuring all relationships are professional in the clan. Any family or romantic relationships will be handled by moving people to other clans to remove any personal feelings or favoritism. Any relationships found to be secret will result in loss of rank or removal from the clan and/or community.
- Ensure no member is left behind! (This means knowing and playing with all members in your squad and the clan. Ensuring everyone in the clan/squad is on each other's friends list)
SECTION LEADER (XS)
The Section Leader position comes with many responsibilities, such as being directly responsible for running multiple successful clans. As a Section Leader, you are a role model for all Generals in your section. By accepting the rank of Section Leader, you are making a commitment to be a fair and responsible leader. This includes making yourself available several times a week to solve problems, hold meetings, and hearing new ideas. The Section Leader work closely with his/her Generals to ensure that all members are playing in a professional manner. The Section Leader will be responsible for ensuring that Generals turn in their clan lists on time and are meeting weekly with their clans. The Section Leader must attend one of his/her clan’s meetings per week to ensure participation and share community news. The Section Leader is also a Moderator/Administrator on the website and is responsible for posting clan news, clan events, and communicating with the clans via his/her forum and clans’ forums. Being a Moderator/ Administrator comes with a lot of responsibility. The Section Leader decides what is appropriate and inappropriate and needs to be removed and warn offenders when the forum rules are broken. The Section Leader is also required to keep discipline within his/her clans and report any infractions directly to the Division/Community Leaders. The Section Leader is directly responsible for ensuring Generals fulfill all their requirements listed in the Generals rank description. A Section Leader is eligible for a promotion after running and maintaining multiple successful clans that represent what XG stands for. A Section Leader must display sound judgment and decision making in all aspects of his/her online interaction. As always, good communication is the key to success.
Section Leaders Responsibilities:
- Must be active online and the forums on a regular basis.
- Be available to hear new ideas, suggestions, comments, and solve problems that arise within his/her section.
- Work closely with his/her Generals to ensure that all members are playing in a professional manner and following the Honor Code at all times.
- Section Leaders MUST meet with their Generals weekly to discuss their development, clan status, potential clan split, and captains ready for promotion.
- Ensure that Generals post their clan list on time and finalize them by the 3rd and 17th of every month.
- Attend one clan meeting per week.
- Approve XG gamer tags.
- Approve transfers within own section.
- Keep discipline within the squads and report any infractions directly to the Division Leaders.
- Be a Moderator/Super Moderator on the website, which means deciding what is appropriate and inappropriate and giving warnings to offenders when the forum rules are broken.
- Post clan news, clan events, promotions and communicating with the clans via his/her forum as well as the clans’ forums.
- Make sure Generals are fulfilling their responsibilities by evaluating them on a regular basis.
- Work closely with Division Leaders to promote XG in a positive way to all online gamers.
- Ensure all relationships in their clans are professional. If a romantic or family relationship arises, they must ensure the members are transferred to not be in the same clan or under the same chain of command. Any relationships found to be secret will result in loss of rank or removal from the clan and/or community.
- Prepare all aspects of a clan split to ensure leadership is developed and ready in order to guarantee the success of both clans involved in the split.
DIVISION LEADER (XD)
Division Leaders are responsible for specific Divisions (XGC, KoG, SYN, XGG). Division Leaders oversee and coordinate the Section Leaders. A Division Leader serves as a role model for all Section Leaders and the entire division. As a Division Leader you will be working closely with Community Leaders to make decisions that affect your Division as a whole. A Division Leader must work closely with the Section Leaders to oversee all activity within his/her Division, and to ensure that all members are playing in a professional manner that represents XG. Communication and decision making are the two most important qualities of a Division Leader. Often you will be pulled in many different directions so it is imperative that you exercise good judgment and patience. A Division Leader will deal with many stressful situations and must be fair but firm, and represent the best that XG has to offer. A Division Leader should keep an open line of communication with all the Section Leaders and hold weekly meetings to communicate direction. The Division Leader also has the ability to start new clans and approve clan splits. The Division Leaders is also a Super Moderator/Administrator on the website and is responsible for posting Division news, Division events, and communicating with his/her Division via his/her forum. Being a Super Moderator/Administrator comes with a lot of responsibility. The Division Leader decides what is appropriate and inappropriate and must remove and ban offenders when forum rules are broken. A Division Leader must display sound judgment and decision making in all aspects of his/her online interaction. As always, good communication is the key to success.
Division Leaders Responsibilities:

- Work closely with Community Leaders to make decisions that affects his/her Division as a whole.
- Work closely with the Section Leaders to oversee all activity within his/her Division, and to ensure that all members are playing in a professional manner that represents XG.
- Division Leaders MUST meet with every Section Leader weekly to discuss their development, potential clan splits, and Generals ready for promotion.
- Keep an open line of communication with all the Section Leaders and hold weekly meetings to communicate the direction of the Community.
- Start new clans when needed
- Approve all clan splits.
- Be a Super Moderator/Administrator on the website, which means enforcing the forum rules and guidelines by giving infractions or banning offending members.
- Post Division news, Division events and communicate with their Division via their forum.
- Make themselves "leaders" (via user group) over every new clan they make or clan split they approve on the XG site to ensure the success of the clan. Division Leaders must add all leadership (friend list) of a new or split clan and assist the Section Leader in growing the clan. XD will not be in more than 6 clan user groups at a time with out XI/XC approval.
- Ensure all relationships in their divisions are professional. If a romantic or family relationship arises, they must ensure the members are transferred to not be in the same clan or under the same chain of command. Any relationships found to be secret will result in loss of rank or removal from the clan and/or community.
- After approved clan split, Division Leader will move all members from old clan to new clan via website. (User group) thus completing the clan split.
- Display sound judgment and decision making in all aspects of their online interaction.
- Evaluate Generals for promotion to Section Leaders and Section Leaders for Division Leader.
Community Leader (XC)
Community Leaders are responsible for XILED GAMING as a whole and all divisions there in. Community Leaders are the role models for the entire XILED GAMING family. Community Leaders are responsible for helping the Division Leaders with decisions pertaining to their specific Division in the community. Community Leaders work with the Division Leaders to train and identify new and up coming Leaders. Community Leaders are required to meet with Division Leaders weekly and discuss issues and ideas. Community Leaders are required to help build XILED GAMING in new games and different online platforms. Community Leaders are also Super Moderators/Administrators on the website and are responsible for posting community news, upcoming community events and communicating with the community via their forum. Community Leaders decide what is appropriate and inappropriate and must remove and ban offenders when forum rules are broken. Community Leaders must display sound judgment and decision making in all aspects of their online interaction.
Community Leaders Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate the Division Leaders.
- Serves as a role model for all Division Leaders and the entire community.
- Work closely with The Council of Leaders to ensure all decisions are fair and to police any favoritism or questionable decision making that could negatively affect the community as a whole.
- Work closely with the Division Leaders to oversee all activity within his/her Division, and to ensure that all clans are playing and operating in a professional manner within the community honor code, rank structure and forum rules.
- Keep an open line of communication with all the Division Leaders and hold weekly meetings to communicate the direction of the Community as well as decisions made for the community.
- Randomly check all new/split clans to ensure rank structure is in place and that the new clan is succeeding.
- Community Leaders MUST meet with every Division Leader weekly to discuss their development, Division status, potential clan split, and Section Leaders ready for promotion.
- Be a Administrator on the website, which means enforcing the forum rules and guidelines by giving infractions or banning offending members. Monitor other Administrators/Moderators to ensure no abuse of privileges on the website are being abused. (Excessive banning, threatening members with ban etc.)
- Post Community news, Division events and communicate with their Division via their forum.
- Display sound judgment and decision making in all aspects of their online interaction.
- Evaluate Section Leaders for promotion to Division Leader
The Council of Leaders (XI)
The Council of Leaders is made up of the founding members of XG. The Council works within a democratic structure voting on what is best for all of XG. These ideals keep the community from being about one person’s quest.
