I requested it for him as verification that he is, in fact, a Captain and that I was aware of his wanting the training. In addition, this helps me to maintain my own accurate records to know who is involved in what training/activity, so I can continue to chart their involvement for when I do promotion interviews and/or when I am asked by my XS and XD for status updates.I'd like to attend the captain class if there is available room
