There, I am going to call what we will see in Ace Combat 7
2 Platforms: 360 and PS3, yes, Namco likes their cash, and we will see xbox fanboys *****ing about Namco's betrayal on them, and PS3 fanboys go yay.. anyway, you get the gist of it, another console war prior to the release.
The game will have kickass trailers before it comes out, and for some reasons, the trailer is a lot more awesome than the game itself.
Ace Combat 7 will feature 2 main factions:
Country A (with a name similar to NATO/western nation names)
Country X (with a name similar to warsaw/dictator/right wing nations)
Premise of the story:
Country X suffers from (pick at least one: natural disaster, civil unrest, economic panic, civil war, or trying to restore their old glory) and attacks the peaceful nation of Country A (which is heavily armed for some reasons)
Country A goes OMGWTFBBQ and get steamrolled initially.
The game will likely begin when country A's last standing military area/airfield/city coming under bomber/aerial attack, and you, a nameless pilot of country A will fend off that wave of attack.
Then you start to kick asses.
keep kicking asses for the next 5 missions. The missions will involve (butchering helpless ground units, giant air to air furball, mixed attacks etc.) (it is likely the player will be bothered by country x's first superweapon/elite squadron)
Country X knows something is going very very bad for them, so they send out the rival ace squadron (in ACS.com fanboys' terms, that rival ace squadron will never beat our favorite hanky-sniffing Yellow 13) to eliminate the player's squadron.
in around mission 7-9, the player will destroy a huge enemy target that involves either (a. burst missile b. chemical based laser. c. lots and lots of fire power. or d. more than one of the above). It is possible that the player will destroy the entire country x's ace squadron while he is at it as well.
After this mission, the player will earn a nickname for themselves usually involves demon _________ or ______ demon, or just something very very evil.
However, at around mission 13 or so, we will be told that not entire country x is evil! IT IS THEIR (A. dictator B. Corrupt government. C. another coup d'etat official. D. a third party)'s EVIL DOING!
The last 3 missions or so will be dedicated to the elimination of such party's forces, while the enemies going "OH NOES IT'S THE ______ (insert player's evil nickname here)"
Now comes the last mission. For some reasons, Country X still has a superweapon left aimed at country A (for some reasons, they were never smart enough to use it at the initial phase of the war)
The player will engage the mission with epic kobayashi music playing on the background. As he attacks the giant fortress of doom, he'd realize the enemy engineers are not smart enough to just build a few slabs of concrete in front of the tunnel that houses the superweapon's weak point.
The player will fly in that claustrophobic tunnel, and attack the weakpoint for massive damage.
The player instantly becomes an instant national hero/savior/morning light, AWACS will give a big speech about (a. they should go home. b. heroes do exist. c. they finally did it or d. all of the above) while epic music plays on the background. The protagonist pilot will most likely be wearing a paperbag over his head and enjoy civilian life for the rest of his life.
The end cutscene will involve "war is bad, m'kay?" and then shows a few feathers flutter down (at this point, acs kids will also assume the protagonist of Ace Combat 7 being Mobius 1)
I am aware of that project aces will probably put in some bat**** insane catchphrases. but those are way too random for my prediction.
There, I have finished Ace Combat 7's design document.
