Just run without a secondary and switch before you knife.

i do that with one of my classes and it does work. all in all though i have adapted to the knifing issues and have been able to knife better

i remember vanherderder saying something about how he thought the knifind in other CoD games has been OP. he's kind of right, but my only problem was the lunge range. it just didn't make any sense why you would be able to lunge as far as you could.

for the most part i think knifing is right where it should be, but they need to fix the hit box it has. that's what is terribad.

When I saw this headline in the forum lobby I just started to laugh. Knifing in Black Ops Two is sooooooo broken. Has anyone stood next to their enemy, knifed and got a hit marker? I was sooooo enraged that I left the lobby after the game was done. I could not believe it. I don't knife anymore. I respect those who are good at it. I'll just stick to rushing with smg's.

I agree with blueorchid1. I don't even bother to knife anymore, just hip fire and hope lag is on my side.

I have better luck with ballistics knives, or with no weap equipped

Yea knifing IMO is useless, the game mechanics just feel awkward when you try to knife somebody right in front of you and somehow after you swing you are either on the side or completely behind them. I'll stick to no-scoping =)

I just stick with long range combat and stay the miles away from people to avoid that situation. I think they pretty much nerfed the commando-esque lunging MW2 had along with the other games prior to BOII and made it difficult in general. My challenges for knifing people in the back are gonna stay grayed out I suppose. I find no use in knifing unless you want to whack someone in the head with a tomahawk.
