but on the other hand sometimes curse words are the right words to use in a certain situation it best explans how you feel and simple words just wont do.

On another note and back on topic I agree with the OP. I joined the area for adults and I'd like to use adult language or themes. Not that I have to do it and I've been getting along fine without it but it would be nice.

Truth. The amount of syllables in a word or what it sounds like doesn't increase/decrease the power of the word itself. Words just mean what they mean and some express a stronger meaning than others.

Of course some are just meant to be purely offensive and have no real use other than that and they honestly should probably never be used, but does putting 4 letters together in a certain way honestly make it bad? No, its the intent and meaning that a person puts behind a word that makes it "bad".

Some words should definitely be filtered out and censored on the website, I don't think that all of the ones that are now necessarily have to be, but if I want to type that word I will type it and it will get replaced by asterisks, people will still know what I was saying. So I would say to the OP, if you want to use those words, you can type them, they will get censored out, people will still know what you mean, and you will probably get banned for repeated use of foul language if you do that.

P.S. Jangles, you will pay to support the website but you complain about not having moneys for anything else, WTB platinum membership plz lol.

I think some people have fallen victim to the cushion of expression every word possible in every forum. When one uses rules to close it I guess that person just isn't used to it lol.

The point is most people don't feel that swear words are appropriate for certain people, such as children under a certain age and many times people do use them in ways to offend people. Personally, I think that it is a good idea and it definitely shouldn't be ruled out, but some people would probably need some convincing in order to get it to go through.

Plus, my guess is that some of the leaders wouldn't want a section like that open to the public because it may reflect poorly on our community to outsiders. Considering XG is built on an honor code that has rules that don't allow certain types of vulgarities and disrespect to fellow members of the community that kind of thing with people swearing all the time and posting whatever they want might not be the best PR.

I think a better way to ask for an adult type of forum would possibly be to subscribe to some sort of user group stating that you support that kind of language. Then, much like the paid subscription lounge, perhaps there could be a designated adult oriented forum. It would obviously be hidden from the public, but then appear to those approved for the user group.
