Okay, my high school graduation is almost here, and I've been getting quite a bit of graduation money. Originally I was going to buy a laptop with my money but my parents told me that they would buy me one for a graduation present. With that out of the way that means I can get something else. I've gotten money from only about a third of the people I sent invites to and at the moment I have about $500 from them. I do plan on going to (a small) college where I live on campus and I have about half of it paid for on just one of my scholarships and I have a few local scholarships that are roughly $250 a piece. I was wondering if I should:

anything to do with college is the best decision... that is a great investment to your future... take smaller loans if you have some cash, or whatnot, because you'll be paying on those loans for a while, and it sucks

definatley sader, save your money, you never know what will come at you, especially in college where if you do get a job, it wont be a large income... keep the money for when you NEED it....

it definitely sounds like the smart thing to do. I just don't like the sound of the money in my wallet whispering, "spend me, spend me..." lol

put it in a savings account that you can't access with a debit card... you won't be AS tempted to spend it, and it'll accrue interest

oh and thanks BPley, and a few others, for calling me "sader". It just clicked to me that it was the perfect XBL GT I was looking for since XGC Crusader was already taken :D

personally i think you should buy the legendary halo reach edition only because die hard halo fans will kill for that in the future and this may be the last installment in the halo series, milk it for all it's worth. hell, you could prolly sell it for triple the amount you payed for it if profit is what you want.

Hey look at that you changed your name..Sader I like it. If I were you I would save as much money as possible. I don't know about your universities over there but saving money for it can help you in the long run. Texts books can be really expensive depending on what your studying. I know this one person who spent over 250 bucks on one book! Save a bit, and as a treat buy one or two games. Plus you need money for drinks to lol oh wait the drinking age is 21 over there..Sucks to be you guys lol

As a current University Student I know the costs of education it can be brutal but 500$ in the long run won't even really be able to carry you a month hell half the time it won't even cover your books so resign yourself to scholarships and student loans and spend some money on you grab a ps3 and some games thats what I say :D besides Bank interest for savings is negligible at best you might see a decent amount out of the interest if you leave it there till your 40

yeah huntess our 18 yr olds in the US are considered old and mature enough to go and fight and die for their country, but some how are not responsible enough to order a bud light (or fosters! cheers) it's the biggest BS...

in alberta the drinking age is 18

lol

you wind up with a LOT of riff raff in the bars and clubs... so i stick to simple pubs... more for the quiet crowd myself :p

and 'Sader... no worries dude, i actually got it from a game i used to play where Crusaders were refered to as saders, so tada! now you know...

and i would agree with acid... buying the Halo Reach Legendary edition would be an EXCELLENT investment, but only if you DO NOT open it.. keep it sealed, and that puppy will be worth HUGE money in the future.. but NO reach will NOT be the last Halo game.. only the LAST halo game from the people who created the halo universe...

and no more Master Chief will ever come out as of HALO 3....

so if you do decided to go for Legendary Reach... keep it locked away in a dark room where temptation will not take over :p

I think they use it as an incentive for younger military personel. They can't buy beer normally before the age of 21, BUT if you're on-base, apparently you're free to drink.

"Yes, you can drink with us before you're 21, BUT you need to fight for us"

Guns are cooler anyway, and (most) available at 18, sometimes before :D
