Where are you guys taking this????? I mean come on. I was describing members who left for no reason or because of a very crappy reason. Mason, if you have personal issues, u don't have to leave. That is a lie. U can always step down or go inactive for awhile. Sometimes u leave, but u don't have too. Now who came up with this money talk?? As I have already said before, we shouldn't care if they make money. Your a gamer so u game. People don't understand. Joining a clan is to make a better gaming experience, not to argue over stupid things. Yes some matters are important but Elly? Arguing that the council makes money??? How does it affect you the gamer huh??? It doesn't. So the bottom line is for all of XG. Your in here to game, not to boss people around and be a jerk over XBox. Lighten up a little people and focus. You go on XBox to game. Theres your new motto. Armo27 approved.

Actually, if you are talking about "what XG should be about" those issues that we're brought up should be addressed. If you create a thread expecting such things not to be brought up then your misguided.

And no, leaving isn't necessary. However if your in a seriously dark place in your personal life then leaving often seems like the only way out. Take that from someone who has not only been in that place but now helps out supporting youth going through it.
But that is off topic.

I commend you for your attitude though. However keep in mind; as much as XG is a place for like minded gamers to come together and game, politics will come up and you have to be prepared to face it. Sweeping it under the carpet and preaching about how we should solely focus on gaming will not make things any more peachy.

Keep in mind this is not meant to be a negative or confrontational post at all, and I apologize if it comes off that way.

Personally what i think would give a lot of members a boost in a positive way is cross-clan and cross-division gaming, because i noted that a lot of members only play in-house games .eg. with their clan or the clans in their section.

1 Act- XG is a for profit business at least they are legally one. i have the papers they filed with Florida, as well as their annual reports.

But it doesn't matter to me if they are or they aren't and i agree with ivy yes we like to game however to believe u can open a can or worms and sweep them under a rug is not a good idea lol

Im not sure why im being singled out. I didnt say anything bad or bash XG. If I have reasons why I left thats really all you need to know. I dont need to be read "you dont have to leave, you can step down or go inactive" It wasnt that it was taking all my time, if that was a case I wouldnt be running my own community lol.

I started the events area, I was the first events coordinator. I tried to do alot for this community. And I do think I have added only good things to this community. I believed in XG as much as the next guy. Still do in fact. But it just feels like they are standing still in a revolving world, and it wasnt the same when I first joined up.

The true test for XG is if they learn and correct why people are leaving

I have the utmost respect for Mason and the work he did when he was here. He was also a general for a good length of time so I can only assume that he was aware of the options available to him with regards to being able to step down if he wanted. He chose to leave to make his own clan/community and I personally fully respect that and wish him the best.

For some people leaving is the best option for them for whatever reason, they don't have to have broken the honour code or any other rules within XG for that to be applicable. Me personally I like it here, like I have said countless times.

In terms of addressing people leaving it should be taken as a learning experience and that is what the best leaders within XG use it for in my experience. In my eyes the "most successful" clans here within XG are those with people that that do this, for example the general, CPTs and LTs within that clan. They don't hide their heads in the sand but instead look to actively improve their members experience.

Of course that is just my opinion.

I agree fully blite! and thank you. It is sad sometimes though that before we actually get things changed sometimes it takes people leaving to get that change. There are alot of good leaders in XG and i've been lucky enough to know most of em. And they are the guys that will make or break this community in the end.

You may have done a lot, but the fact that you left erases all of that. There is no need to come back on our site and preach your beliefs to sway the opinions of our current members. That is not right. Yes, Xiled Gaming is a "profit" organization, but you don't think that money goes right back into the website and other things? There are a lot of things to be paid for, and subscriptions and donations help cover that. This thread is becoming a tad annoying and therefore I am going to close it.

By the way, those who PURCHASE subscriptions/memberships on the website choose to do so. They are not forced. There is no fee to sign up. The money you spend is spent at your discretion!
