Each tattoo shop/tattooist usually has an hourly price. So even if the tattoo takes 15 minutes, your paying for an hour. (But it really depends, you would have to ask and look around)

Prices where I am range from $125-180/hour.

But I have a girl, that gives me a great deal and charges me about $50/hour.

I got my first tattoo about 4-5 months ago. It was $700 all together and is about the size of both of my hands. I got it done at a very reputable tattoo parlor so it was a bit more expensive, but I was willing to pay it. It took about 2 1/2 hours and was worth everything. As much as getting just a small one on your hand, I'd bet that it wouldn't be any more than $150. I've attached a picture of mine!

I got my first tattoo in michigan and it only costed me $50.00 and its a Good size tattoo..so if you live around there then a tattoo thats no bigger than a silver dollar would probly cost you like $20.00 if that

all depends on the how good your artist is. color etc.

each shop and artist is different. especially in different states, counties, and city. i would recommend doing research around your area. make a list of all tattoo shops in your area. then go into each shop with a picture or idea in mind and talking with them. while you're there in each shop ask to see their portfolio's and study their work. take a look around the shop and determine how clean it is also. if it looks ghetto or dirty leave and dont look back. the other thing i do is go in when they are busy and watch them work. see how well they are as an artist if they are new to the shop or i dont know them. never meet an artist and just jump into their chair without doing your research.

I have 4 tats and it took me about 2 years to really feel comfortable with the design that I got on the first one. its a huge decision.

you have to also take in account price and the number of sessions and your own pain tolerance.

just make sure you don't get something that you may regret in the long run. I saw stick to things that have significant meaning to you and your life and portray the type of person you are or tells a story of the person you used to be leading into the person you are today

ps one you get one youll want more

Yeah if you get one and regret it...that sucks...I have one that I have grown to hate and I will probably get it covered up...thank goodness its one I should be able to
